heres the start of my entry. These are night elves, who make most of their things out of wood.

shh! they regrow the tress the chop k?!

...mozareds IS venice its venice, cut up then glued together in war3. I think the houses could varie in size and how far apart they are but they fit the theme so well.

what are those things that look like rounded peasents headstones in the first pic, and what is that bridge made out of in the second pic?

Alrightly, my photoshop is down and broken therefore I can't really post screen shots, so I'll post the map that i made.
- I made it so you run it in game and it will show you different shots of the town, so just run it in game. Plesase don't be discourged to DL because you'll have to open it and look at it, just run it and watch.

Looks cool vagabond, did you stack houses before you saw mine or after? because i did that as well. I like the lighthouse and the pic with the guy standing under the floating house.

Ow, I did watch your terrain beforeI did this , but I got the stacking idea from CotD, infact I didn't notice there were stacked houses in your terrain.

I know how it looks like... kanals instead of streets, and houses put togther, all with piers, and then those small high brigdes so the boats can go underneath... this all is hard to make though...

lots and lots of legless tables (i should probably cut down on the amount i use those) and the normal wooden bridge with high Z value, barrels, fences, so on. just less use of cliffs on the water front. they dont look good.
as for realism, in venice most of the houses go right up to the waterfront, no cliffs needed for the most part.
now if someone has a go at this ill be impressed;
