WT 2: Venice-like City

This week's assignment will be to create a Venice-like city, complete with the waterways and canals and bridges.

Description: I'm sure most of us have a vague if not distinct idea of what Venice looks like. For those who don't, here are some pictures.

Okay, now THIS sound really interesting.. though I may not be able to participate, I'm going to work my a*s of terraining TSoL this weekend.. lets see if I have some spare time over..

i am in. by venice style do you mean it has to be human? it couldnt be a n.e canal filled city?

my own personal idea for this thing. city in the skies. sounds challenging huh?

i'm trying to think of a way to mimic sky stuff...... I'm wondering if a big model would cut it then VERY low terrain.... That could be kinda neato.

Race doesn't matter, as long as they're filled with waterways and canals.

Sigh... would you FIX it? i am unable to post my screenies for like a week already! i'm done, and i've uploaded my map. don't whine for screenies, whine the moderators they should fix this.

When you upload your screenshots, do you upload them as jpg or as tga? Because uploading as a tga doesn't work.

Jpg, i always upload as jpg. the problem is i get a 404 file not found or something like that error.

weird, try uploading your pics at another site (try www.photobucket.com ) and then just post them as images here.

you should use different houses. Its kinda boring if they all are the same.

I thought about that but i tryed other houses... wouldn't do, looked to sloppy. guess this isn't really my terrain as well...
