Wow, that was a fast responce, <= 3 minutes. No offense here, I dont want to start a flame war, but you really cant say much beacuse you dont reside in the trigger forums. It is a talent to be good at triggers and to be able to help others, and I *think* we treat people with kindness (they might be stabbing them in the back while I'm not looking). You would actually be suprised of the amount of people I've met (and have on my buddy list, if you were wondering) just over the trigger forums in the past few months. Really, though, I think it's because people can take one glance at WH's new art, or something, and say "wow" and give the +rep, whereas people in the trigger forums actually have to answer, and then someone has to recognize it's the correct answer and take the time. For some reason people dont do this, although I think before I sleep I'll do a good deed (or 5). Well, thats it, I'm spent, gnight and give rep to all , and check out the cool infernal. |

The reps get removed based on words (profanity, although I do allow some words that aren't soo bad), repeat times by the user, and/or blank rep reasons in a row. I wouldn't get too specific on how many or which as that would just make you abuse it to the edge. |

Based on words, and based on who you are. This is just a hypocracy enforcer so that you actually beleave people really agree with you, when most likely they dont. Look at the new members who post a "newbie" question, in 2 days he has -10 rep. But with rep policing theyll think people approve. Live the lie. |

removeong multiple bad reps for one mistake is one thing, but saying that it will appear as though people approve is a bit beyond reasonable dont you think? if a newb asks a question that perhaps wasnt the brightest of inquireis, then gets a bukectful of -ve reps, that is hardly fair. and it discourgaes them from posting again. if i understand the rep cleaner correctly. it would remove most of these rep, simply because they come from the same post, as a result. people wont loose a lot of rep over one post. thats got to be a good thing. its not going to start giving them more +ve rep on its own, so how can you say its giving them the ipression that people are approving of their post? all it dose it stop newb bashing. as for the removiong of reps with no comments, thats a great idea. too many damn reps are not only without comment, but often are given for posts that i couldnt see any kind of reason for giving any rep. (for example ive got reps for a couple of posts in the WT, that make no scence as to why soemone would rep me, one was for a post in a discusion about why outland wont let me have water). removing reps with profanities i also agree with, thay may have a decent reason for giving you -ve rep, but if its just one long flame comment, then its usualy a good indicator the person is too hot headed to be giving out reps |

Yeah, all the "bad" rep comments seem to be knocked off, but not the actual points. Are you sure it deletes the points too, Draco? I'm one of the terrainers, johnfn, and I'm on the first page :>, so's Beam. I almost got higher than Draco, but then he got a mass-load of green rep :(. Yay to Draco for putting the Infthumb back after I gave it to him! ![]() |

hah, just realized im 10th on the site. w0rd. I wont be getting any more since im working on ROR! and DoC and DvG, meaning i dont have time to make random pointless terrain projects, which really reels in the rep. I got like 75 rep point of my goblin city alone :8 People working on projects deserve more rep. When people post updates on their projects give them rep! Maybe some more projects will actually be finished. |

There needs to be all the smilies back... @Murloc- Hehe, I knew that because whenever I look at the members sorted by rep I see you near the top. Im starting to see the pain of the 24 hour limit. I hit it so I stopped, later on I gave another rep and thought I was out, tried to give another and BAM. Grr. |

I dont get it.. I had about 22 reputation and then I get a reputation saying: "reduce your sig please". and then I only had 14 left :( . My sig wasn't even big! Some people have sig's that fill the whole screen and then I get that.. |

I had 98 rep yesterday. This morning I look and I see that I was reduced to 75, and no one gave me any bad rep recently... lol Well, if you are using this new system for the rep. Then I suggest also doing something to force people to write a comment whenever they give/take rep. |

Obviously an admin or a big-time artist. That seems very unfair; the PM system exists for a reason. |

i might be going a bit OT (on my own topic...lol) but i have a question. whats the difference between a green bar on the list and a dark blue bar on the list. not under your name in every post, but when you goto the profile, whats the difference? |
| 06-26-2004, 10:09 PM | #27 |
the green is average, like all of them totalled up and your profile shows the individual reps... think of it as numbers... 1+1+1+1=4, the thing under your name is 4 and each rep in ur profile is 1 |

im sorry, i wasnt clear. i mean, on the profile list, theres 3 kinds of colors. i have one red one, multiple green ones, and most of them are dark blue. i know red = bad, but whats the difference between blue and green? |
| 06-26-2004, 10:40 PM | #29 |
Green = Positive Red = Negative Grey = Neutral (someone with less that 10 rep gave you a point, it could be good or bad) |
