mabey we should just combine teams to make an entire game!
were reformatting the story cause dorilian gave it the thumb down rutine
we always need new map makers so anyways if you want to join pm me,we can make it really good..............

btw:trolls tend to be blood thirsty ranged units,i have goblin allies for brains and some mechs and ogre slaves for melee,i got a complete character layout and
we plan on adding somthing where you capture animal,eggs/babies for units to mount:lizards,wolves,bats,horses,ect.

Well Garona can be helpful plus FlamesForZuljin reccomended...so thats one in (if interested). And FlamesForZuljin A) is too good to turn down and B) his name is a troll quote. So he can be in if he wants.
Zenedor: Thanks! I think you're probably aware of this, but all in-game troll skins (and most custom troll skins for models) are switchable. Unfortunately Headhunter, Shadow Hunter, bat rider and Witch doctor arent. So your one skin is useful for any troll model Thanks. PS the Dark Troll Shadowhunte was going to be used for the shadow hunter-based Dark Troll Elf Hunter, which is gonna be a fairly simple edit on the Shadow Hunter. Its fine that you didnt do it.

And i think that at least Jungle Trolls are pretty smart, they certainly aint LotR trolls when it come to stupidity. But I am probably gonna use war beasts for much of the melee combat. Cough ice troll cough mammoths cough cough and cough golems cough. Sorry i have the leaks. Hmmm.... i dont think i want to merge into one campaign, as i said, first online campaign, kinda wanna be an independant project, though intersecting plot lines, such as characters meeting each other would be kinda cool. ^_^

I could be a story consultant if you wish. An enthralling plotline will be the main factor in determining the popularity of this map, I think.

I skin switched and anim renamed the berserker to get a Dark Troll Spearman, I've also got a Forest Troll one... they take about five seconds so ill make an ice troll one... BUT if i end up using them, they'll probably be heros because among the troops, spears are pretty much Jungle Troll style. BTW anyone know the Dark Troll leader's name? Cant find it.

uh...u know u can delete the old anims via mdl editing? instead of renaming them blah, wookie, moo, oink, and pie...

Well... I'd like to see this project start moving in development... I could make a preliminary introduction for this campaign. What would you like to see happen in the intro? What tileset, characters, music would you like to see? I'm currently hosted by the mapper's guild so I'll spare no expense in making this lil' cutscene...

Well for the intro basically what is needed is a scene showing a Night Elf council deciding to 'rid the glades of the Dark Troll corruption' then Night Elf Sentinels attacking a Dark Troll village...then a group of dark trolls talking to Vol'jin. Show Jungle trolls mobilizing, cut to forest trolls on the move, then ice trolls. Fade out.

Can you handle it?

about anim deleting: I dont know any other way, and besides, Mecheon himself reccomended that technique.

all you do is this: find the anim you dont want anymore. for example, lets take out the attack slam anim of the tauren.

find this in the mdl:


just delete it. then save, and reconvert. and shabam...youre there

Do you mind if I make my own version on the intro, Zeal? I already had a few ideas in mind...

Before I proceed, I have a few questions:
1.) What is the time period of the campaign?
Immediately after Reign of Chaos, or after The Frozen Throne?

2.) Would it be okay if the introduction BEGINS when the battle between the Night Elves and the Dark Trolls start fighting? Then after the Trolls are sadly defeated, I'll cut the cutscene to their retreat and the Ice Troll scene.

3.) Who would the Trolls be? There is a major problem here since the Dark Trolls of Vol'jin arrived at Kalimdor only when the Orcs arrived during RoC campaign and the Bonus custom campaign "Exodus of the Horde".

My suggestion is that we make a new troll character with a cool name like... I don't know, you make something up! Also, instead of using the Dark Trolls that joined the Orcs in the campaign, we should use the strange DARK VIOLET creep trolls available at the Felwood tileset I think...

4.) What other characters would you want to be involved in this conflict? (At least for the Night Elves)

5.) What name would you like our campaign to be called? Troll campaign: Battle for Felwood sounds a bit... blah. How about a name that has the words Warbands, or Vengeance or something??

6.) Finally, I have a request... I need a Night Elf melee unit and troll melee unit! This is a big battle after all... Can you do this? (I ripped the screen from a friend's project) ^_^ I just hope he doesn't get pissed about this. :(

As for my version of the intro, i have it layed out as
1- The NE discuss the dark trolls.
2- The Dark trolls are being attacked.
3- The Remnants of the dark trolls go find vol'jin
4-The ice trolls, in there icy fortress, get a message.
5-The forest trolls are told of the message.
6-The island trolls receive word.
7- The Ice trolls prepare to leave, and they get their armies ready.
8-The forest trolls show off their army.
9-The island trolls show off their army.
Terran is pretty much done for the most part.


Them be dark trolls mon.

And i have 4 name suggestions for heros.

Alisa Darkmoon- NE warden.
Jojo Bloodspear - Island troll hero
Gul'gum - Forest high priest troll hero
Jag Skullfreeze - Ice troll hero
Only suggestions.

I also think Vol'gin died in Exodus? I dont really remember.

I'll take your suggestions (of the names) into consideration, Zeal. I kind of like it this way But I still like the idea of a campaign starting with some kind of epic battle... Not really a messy fight with forces of a gazillion troops, but a more scripted, intense battle. I'll see what I can do here...

Dunno about Vol'jin dying o_O Who would relay the message to all the trolls around the world?? Hmm... I like the idea of a messengers... but I also could go for lil' critters doing the job... Oh well. You're already done with your terrain?
