Guest | Hmm it works.. but only partially..he couldn't read some files like the .tga files.. in the .w3m file (maybe because only beta used tga?) I tried to open a w3m file with DJBnJack's Wc3 Image Extractor.. it found one pic of them(war3mapMap.BLP).. yes in the BLP format! Unfortunately this program is just an image extractor DJBnJack I think your programs are better than all the ohter stuff like WinMPQ MPQView etc.. it didn't even need the a special list file to find the war3mapMap.BLP.. DJBnJack what about a special tool for .w3m files? :D It looks like you can program efficienter programs than WinMPQ etc... Would be much better for us modding newbies :p |

Guest | aah, good you have found the blp ? i think its either pathing or miinimap, thnx was looking for those two |

Random question.. Would it possible to change the image of the minimap to say some picture? I mean yes I realize that means the mini map is for all extents and purposes useless..but still would like to know. |

Sounds dumb but... how do you convert .tga->.blp with this program? Right now all I see if the ability to open images, open mpqs, and extract images to .tga/.blp. |

Guest | after you saved tga file==>open=>image=>select your tga. Then save image => save as:blp image (save as blp type) |

Great program, but I have run into a bug that no one else has reported: The image previewer looks all scrambled. Whenever I open a .tga or .blp or pick one in from an .mpg, I get a mess in the previewer. It works fine when exporting, though. I attached a picture of what I mean. I run Windows 99 SE and have Visual Basic 6 and all it's runtime files. On another note, a features that I would like to see are:

the option to have a file use its normal filename as default when saving, so if I save several, I don't have to type in full filenames each time
the ability to select and save multiple files at once (all with original filename, but adjusted for extension selected)
the option to have files be saved in their packed directories
The ability to copy (and paste?) folder and file names in .mpq's
Not likely, but wishful thinking: .jpg (or .bmp) to .blp (or just .tga) converter
If you want, I can help with the first 4, as I experience in dealing with multiple files and files in lists in Visual Basic. Just PM me or email me or post here or whatever if you are interested in my help. |

I found the problem: My Color Depth was set at 16 bit, while the images are in 32. Just had to up mine, and it works great. Jack: this would be something to adjust for or warn about in the final version. Thanks for the great prog! On another note, this means that Warcraft III might not be able to support 64 bit color mode (when it's available:P), or if it does, it won't take advantage of the color deoth. But I think that 32 bit is just fine, and more colors would be pointless. |

Guest | Dbnjack, Ive put the version that is in attachment in the download section, is it okay with that? because I cant seem to find the main page of yours =\ |
| 07-13-2002, 06:07 PM | #28 |
Well, actually I'd rather not have it in the downloads - as there are still alot of things wrong with this. In a few the release version will be there (the real version 2) Okay? Greetz, DJBnJack |
