you should have a button somewhere on your start menu called windows updates... click that and it de-directs you to their site check around for it i'm sure you'll find it

Hi, a small problem.

I installed the latest version of WEU as suggested in the documentation. The enhancer works fine, I can load a map and edit stuff. However both WE Unlimited and WEU Game Patch give the same error when I try and run them:

"Unable locate the target to path"

I don't understand why it would od that. I have Warcraft and FT with 1.17 installed in D:\Warcraft III surely not hard to find.

Interestingly when I tried to use UMSWE it said that it cannot detect my Warcraft III installation, which I assume is the same pathing problem.

My Warcraft works fine on and offline. Same for the original WE. Any ideas?

Wintermute: Start regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\
There you should find a string-value named InstallPath and it should be set to D:\Warcraft III
If the value is not there or points to a wrong path you should fix it

As I was reading your post I realised that maybe moving the whole Warcraft directory (to make space for HL2) and then just re-finding the target path for the game executable does not fix everything :p

wow new problem... i have a laptop and a main computer. i emailed myself a map i had been working on with your program. Here is what i did first i downloaded WEU on my laptop... then i tried opening the file and the file didn't really show so i couldn't save it in maps but there was a little link that said download attachments... i clicked it and it auto saved to my desktop... then i noticed that the file didn't have that map icon it had no icon.... i tried opening it and it asked me what i wanted to open it with and i selected WEUunlimited.exe the program itself opened but the map didn't... what is going on?

You didn't actually download the real attachment, you just downloaded a .html or .htm or maybe .php file.
Some web-mail services can't handle w3x files as attachments
You should better zip a map before sending it via mail, or you could use a CDRW or copy it via lan

well... i use yahoo which if i'm not mistaken is a very good email program and if i zip it (which i don't know how) should i send the zipped file with yahoo?

When talking about email programs I meant something like Outlook or similar, anyway I realize you're likely not using one of those.

I'm starting to wonder how you managed to create your wc3c account. You seem to be unable to do even the simplest stuff.

You really can't copy a file from one computer to another one? nor can you zip files? You must be joking

well i can burn it onto a c.d. .... but i don't possess a blank c.d. .... and i don't aladdin's zip program

Do you have windows XP? If yes, you can create zip-files in the explorer without any zip program. I think it's File/new/compressed folder if i remeber correctly, your yahoo webmail service should be able to handle such a zip.
