Just a side note, Since we are doing quite a few maps, having another terrain artist on the team would be nice...Either post pictures or a map or email me some work if you are interested

Also if somebody has good knowledge of spell editing and would like to create the new spells for us to save us the time while we work on other sections, please apply

FyreDaug, my appologies, I was unaware that you had a leaderborad thing.

Dakan, did you get my PM with the storyline proposal? I read the fwd you sent me and ideas began flying so I just had to write something down. After a couple tries I came up with what I sent you. I'll post it hear for everyone to see. Then we can get more perspectives on it.

STORY LINE:
The world of Adunad is made up of three continents. The smallest of the continents is frigid and ice capped, as it is the Adunad’s North Pole. The largest of the continents, called Hama, is teaming with life of all sorts. Some of the more renowned intelligent races are the Orcs, Kobalds, Centaurs and Elves. While the land of Hama has not seen open war for centuries, the races do not see eye to eye and brawls are not uncommon should small groups encounter each other. Thus Hama has been this way for a very long time.

But something has begun that will spur change into a land that has seen none for centuries. Orc villages, Elven hamlets, Centaur camps and Kobald abodes have been razed to the ground. Rumours are spreading that war hungry beings have emerged from the ocean and are shaping stone into great barricades. Once a barricade is built, hundreds of these “Life Takers” will emerge and kill all in their way. To make things worse, not only are they fierce warriors, but after falling, they rise again to fight on.

This is no rumour. The new threat emerging is called Man. Human kind that has crossed the ocean on great ships from the third continent. Man began its quest for glory and riches long ago with it was but one of the races on the continent of Apocha. Each victory made Man richer and more powerful. They developed power technologies, armours and weapons that made them even tough foes. However, the land on a continent is limited and once they had conquered all of Apocha, they began to explore their ocean surroundings. Their first attempts at seaworthy vessels failed miserably, but eventually they accomplished their goal. They created sea worthy ships that could scout the oceans for new territory. First they found the icy cold of the north but there were no riches to be found so after establishing only small settlements, they continued on.

Then they found Hama, a grand new world to conquer…

The Humans: Highly advanced race that build fortresses of solid rock. War driven, they boost their soldiers with black magic and even raise fallen soldiers back from the dead to fight once again.

The Orcs: A strong and noble race, Orcs are a shamanistic society that lives in villages made out of sticks and rocks stuck together with clay.

The Centaurs: The least intelligent of the four races of Hama, Centaurs are nomadic people who live in camps made of animal skins and sticks. They’ll usually inhabit an area for a couple months then move on.

The Kobalds: These creatures rarely gather in groups larger then 50 or so. Each society will live in several small caves or holes attached by tunnels. Kobalds are nocturnal and love digging and tunnelling. This race, aside from drinking it, will avoid water as much as possible.

The Elves: The strangest of all the races. The elves are a race of women. This society has no male counter part. The lesbian women reproduce asexually at their own will. When they feel it is their time to produce an offspring, they do so. As a result it is no wonder that this is the most difficult of races to get along with. They hide in their forest realms that they call hamlets. Very few Elves enjoy face to face combat and for good reason. They are very well equipped to take on their foes from a distance. In addition to being a highly magical race, elves keen eye sight makes them excellent shots with a bow.

I like it, its not bad at all (very similar to the actual wc3 storyline heh)

Only problem is this storyline sort of kills any concepts for a human type of hero since the humans are the bad guys...

Download the Hero Conecpts here:
Link to the document

These are ideas of heros i had so far, not all spells are complete, there are quite a few missing...

Oh and Dakan, I looked at your hero list thing, I still think it would be best to do my custom stats.

I agree, i think i can get all the items to create and get removed to reset all the +hp +mp and other crap.... might be a little laggy for higher level people when the trigger fires, but should be doable.

Also on another note, im going with adding 6 alt + # keycodes to the map to finish off the nessary symbols then i have the base 100 system working and the code will be greatly reduced in size. I know it was only 5 needed before, but dont wanna use "space" because 2 spaces in a row might look wierd on the screen and we dont want a player to copy the PW wrong, also im gonna space out the code in blocks of 4 or 6 to make it easier to read

Well, I realised that this would limit the number of human heroes that the players could use. But with Centaurs, Kobalds, Orcs and Elves there is still plently of variety available.

Or another idea is that you could be either human or "alliance". If the maps are team games then this is possible. You could build some maps specifically for the "alliance" and some specifically for the Humans. Then others could the the team maps. Could make for a very interesting project.

--EDIT--
Oh, and I'm reading the Hero majiggy.

--EDIT--
Ok, finished reading it. Hmmm, doubt you'll catch this edit.

Noooo Dakan, didnt you get my PM? Dont use alt # commands, please no. Lets do the HEX code I talked about in the PM

EDIT: Nah it wont be laggy at first, we just wont create their items until the stats are set, that way we dont need to worry about storing the item when the map is started.

I think the only human models i used were the Paladin DMK and Arthas but maybe we can get them reskined to look like a different race.... or something else

i didnt get any new PM's and using the british pound, the yen, cent, symbols arnt that bad of a alternitive, and doing that over the hex will make the code A LOT smaller, base 100 compaired to base 16, 1 digit can represent 3 with base 100 and the higher the number the better off it is. shouldnt be that bad.. Can we get some outside opionion on this?

Note: these symbols might not even show up in the code very often, only if odds are 6 outa 100 6% chance to get 1 of those symbols

Well I basically said, just use hex, dont bother with other values with alt+#, it might get confusing and people won't want that, they would want it as simple as possible.

Hey, FyreDaug! Your PM Mailbox is full. I'm PMed you but guess what, it was full.

Well, I finished reading the Legendary Heroes thing. Already ideas are flying but their in relation to the Story Line Proposal. So if we could slowly work to some kind of consensus on the story line then I could take this rough for the Heroes and turn out "Legendary Heroes RPG MMORPG revision 1.2". Heh heh.

----EDIT----
well thats probably _NOT_ going to be the real title, i just picked somenody corny and quick so the document had a title =P

(missed that word....)

Feel free to mod those heros a bit

Um back to the code, hit another little problem, even if i did do base 100, the fact still remainds that 0 to 9 will be messed up even with Hex

wc3 ignores leading zeros so 09 will become 9 and throw the entire code off 1 digit (didnt have that problem when i first created it...)

Did you get the PM's now? I removed all my PM's except for important ones, so it's open now. I resent those 2 PM's that you didnt get before.... maybe your mailbox it full?

Dakan, not to worry about that code, we don't use 0's to start a code in HEX anyways, 0F is the same as F, so it doesn't matter.

And is the name still gonna be Dark Crescent, since I have the dot com.....

u can either solve that problem by separating the inputs so u can just substring the index from the separator until the next one, or u can run an if statement to add an extra 0 to the string before the number if the number/10 is less than 1

I can volounteer to help with the spell editing.
