I will wait and see what the TFT spell editor looks like first. if it has a user interface that I feel is crap, I will update my spell editor to work with TFT maps. If it is a good spell editor, then there'd be no point in me trying to compete. Also, I don't have a beta account. |

with a mpq editor you open the w3m file and place all edited files in thier proper directory (for spell editing everything goes in the Units\ folder) |

Hey Lordred, I love your editor, the little tips that appear really help know what entry does what. But I noticed that some things I wanted to do with the art were not easily done with you editor, so i went into the .txt, and wow, it sure makes a mess in there after a long time of editting. Anyways it is a great editor, I am glad you released. I just have one problem, In an effort to have more choices for icons, I added jpgs from Warcraft 3 classic beta, and the frozen throne beta, but when I search through the icon viewer, sometimes it pops up tons of error messages, like "This mode does not allow drawing" and stuff. I find it frustrating, and it closes the editor. But anyways your editor is great, you are wicked awesome. Fiery_Maelstrom [email protected] |

Guest | Lordred, I am running Win XP Pro, and for some reason your editor does not apear to save the changes I make to certain files. emote_sweat The files are all in the same directory as the Abilitydata.slk and it even loads the changes each time I open your editor, but when I check the file such as HumanAbilityStrings.txt , there are clearly no edits to that file. This is very strange, and I have included an image of which files were edited and which files were not edited. The files with an edit time of 2:03 PM are ones that your editor skipped. The ones with a time of 2:10pm are the ones it saved. Any ideas on how I can get it to save the data to all these files? http://www.kylekendrick.com/spelleditodd.gif |

That is because when you create new spells and stuff, it saves the string info all into NuetralAbilityStrings.txt, and then it saves the Func data into the spell it based it off of's *race*Func.txt. Therefore, all the string data can be found in NuetralAbilityStrings.txt. It is saving changes, it is just you are looking in wrong files. :p Fiery_Maelstrom [email protected] |

Guest | Thanks, I found the data. Seems like an easy thing to see, but I wasn't even thinking about looking at the Neutrals. |
