Ok, well production will be Delayed, I just got TFT but dont wanna go into the edior till I finish the campaign, No spoiling for me! Sorry, Ill finish the campaign fast

Sorry for triple posting, but Editing wont bring my thread to the top :) Anyway, heres the deal...

OMG!! There is an EGG model!! w00t!! YEA!! I was toying with the idea of being able to get a familiar type thing, but now I HAVE to do it! You will be able to raise it from an egg! Hehe!

Anyway, about the status... Im currently workin on sum Item stuff, and an effective, professional looking way to use items to make better ones Example:Combine a *Gold Shaft* with an *Axe Head* to get a *Gold Axe* And ill have other things like that.

Im going to make Items actually quested for in this. Sheilds will not only give armor, but a LOW percentage of evasion, I think ppl like to see their armor working rather than have it reduce each attack by like 2.

Also, Im deciding what models to use for the units and bosses(Bosses r gonna be great!!)

-towns that actually react to your character, with like, hate, fear, or awe.

Good idea if they are afraid of the char they will go hiding or
something

-Shopkeeps that travel from town to town

-Shopkeeps that can be robbed while going between towns by players OR by computer bandits, either way, the shopkeep you like may not be seen again(But he probably will since I cant have an infinite number of them, so hell respawn eventually)

I think it should be like 15% chance that he'll be robbed and 5% that he is getting killed(just an example)

-Enemies that require special strategies to kill, Like getting hit in the back.
YES VERY GOOD IDEA!

-Bosses that require much more skill to defeat.

I think you should do it like zelda the windwaker bosses
(not exactly), you know you have to swing to the other side and
things like that.

Hmm... No, leaderboards use up valuable game space. I suggest making a quest that changes with your reputation.

Quest: Reputations

Town 1: 100

Town 2: 0

Town 3: -100

ect.

And if you need to know this when combining strings, |n makes a new line.

1)Maybe you should make a combat system, where like when you have a boss fight, you are teleported to an "arena" and you control the character with the keyboard.

2) Have side quests as well as main quests =).

3) You can use the spell book with modified icons, for different inventories.

4) I don't think you should worry alot about the lenght, it would be cool if it would be of variable lenghts, decided at the begining. For example, In the long version you include the side quests, and in the short not. You can also quit whenever you want and your items fall down, so the others can pick them up. Even if its long its better I think because alot of people play RPG in LAN.

5) Have maybe an inside camera so you can look around.

6) Make a "talk" ability so you can speak with whoever you want, persons will help you, others can give you wrong directions ;) if they don't like you.

7) Make it funny sometimes, like what the guys say and stuff.

8) You can be poisoned, which changes the tinting values of the unit.

9) Make it like 15 levels for the hero, instead of 10. Noting is worse than having a hero that can't upgrade anymore =)

10) Add some platforming ;) so you can jump from place to place and not fall down.

11) Add a training center where you can go to upgrade your heros, by fighting stuff.

12) Add some stuff to solve, like a kinda puzzle, or add water to the plant which will make it grow and you pick the stuff it produces. This can be done with the sell and buy system i suppose.

There you go =) Hope you'll like some of em'

1) You will be teleported to an arena, I dunno about keyboard movement, Ive been thinking about that recently, like u control your guy with keyboard and cast with mouse, so like its a bit more interesting to play, and like u cant control summons, they have AI

2)Im not doing actual quests, just things you can do for awards

3)I dunno what the spell book is emote_sweat but I can guess, Ill check that out

4) ppl can play as long as they want, im going to ATTEMPT to incorporate a save system, so if u get to lvl 20, next time u play u can load your old guy

5) I dunno...

One thing I thought about, if you don't have enough space in the map you could have for example, regions that when you go over twice, its a different quest or message, and for example you could have to save a town from attackers, just by setting the life of the buildings to 5% so they would burn, and add the attacker units with triggers in the town. That way you could do several different quests in the same places. You could also have a system, instead of placing units on the map while you map it, it would create units in regions depending of the number of players. So you would go like create NumberOfPlayers * NumberOfUnitsPerPlayer units. I don't know how hard this is but its just a suggestion.

PS: Don't forget to check out the spell book, its in Items->Misc->Spell Book but you edit the Spell Book ability which is in : Abilities->Special->Items->Spell Book, to change the stuff it uses.....and its really cool =).

Desty, I dont know if I made it not too clear, but this is an open RPG you can pursue things, like killing all 5 bosses in the game, or... you know, things that Rnt SET, u can do what u want, no real quests... lol, but speaking of that, I made a map just like what u were saying in SC, It was with a total conversion(SC to WC3) and I was running out of regions fast, so I started reusing them, like on the outskirts of the main town, I had the enemies u fight at first spawned at regions, then later in the game when the town is attacked, I spawned the attackers, and set sum building life to be low, it was a great map when I think about it, If the WC3 total conversion wasnt shut down by Blizzard Id show you, maybe I can still find a way to show u, if I find my old HD...

towns that react to character sound very cool indeed, lotsa nice oringnal ideas keep it up and keep us infomed on progress, this is deffently a map i want to follow :D

you should start getting some work done instead of constantly talking about the same features over and over again. worry about featurees later when you actually get to implementing triggers.

Why do u think I hadnt posted on this in so long? I know I shudnt get too many ideas too early, or try to implement them before I can, because this leads to everything overwhelming me, and I end up not finishing the map, by no means am I getting ahead of myself by posting these features.
