yah and eats more memory :p. after i reformatted i decided not to put xp and just use Win98 again since it takes less space. after a few minutes i was like " WTF WHY IS THIS S ****EN SLOW ?!#W" then i decided to install xp again and now i live happily ever after :D! |

hey yo computer smarties..can you help meh.. you see, i have this laptop with winxp with all latest patches except it stil crashes a lot cuz of a bad display nvidia driver.. how do i fix it... do i have to reformat and reinstall xp? edit: i have xp home |

WINDOWS 2000 is the best OS but u don't get that automatically. When I get my new computer Im going to use Windows 2000 because it has less bugs than other Windows. Now I have ME but I hate it... |

PhAtTiM89, I had that kind of problem recently, but i'm using XP pro. I updated everything xp updates, display driver (mine is ATI) and directx9 but it crash at every game I installed (war3, soul reaver2, etc) so i tried to dl the previous (out-dated) display driver and directx8.1, reinstalled them, ta da problem solved. what I am trying to say is; make your update up-to-date isn't always good, if you do fine with previous driver why update? xcept for those security matters :gsmile: PS: you said "cuz of a bad display nvidia driver.." in this case maybe you should update em' |

MacOS is ok but it runs less then windoze, is more expensive, alot of the software is ported at the last second and ends up glitchy, and it cant compete with *nix in servers and programming. its good if your not to worried about being able to run every little game/utility. it is good for video editing, and of cource there is nothing stopping you from installing a mac linux. |

Guest | EarthFury, a glitch caused your account to be moved in Coppa (Users awaiting for moderation), which caused inaccesibility on that account. I have to see if this was either by the hand of a mod or by a glitch in the VB atm, so just dont o crazy on this one and wait till we sorted it out |
