Looks good, I dont like the terrain as much as the last tho |

Yeah last one's terrain looked more appealing. Is the main character still a Dark Ranger? You should make it a Warden or Sentry if it's going to be called "Blademaiden's RPG". Just my opinion, but it would make more sense. :D |

the orc building would look stupid in the 1st level's tileset besides it adds a bit of variation, but remember blademaidens is a group so the name might be quite fitting. anyway thats my penny's worth Darion PS i'll get Dac to post an update asap! |

Hi guys! I've finally got chance to give an update. I've put together a demo consisting of the first two maps from the campaign. The first is an updated version consisting of all the changes people requested. The second is a beta of the second level. There is very little combat in this level, it is merely an RPG area. There are a few things to be aware of though. The stash does not work. (Yet) I had a BIG problem with the units and items and had to spend days remaking most of them, so until the next release, the stash is useless. Between levels anyway, it will still hold your items temporarily. The rune puzzle has been altered. It is now blatently obvious which path you have to take. I will have fully completed this puzzle by the next release. Also, since my last update on the maps, I haven't had chance to test both the levels together. As such, weird results could happen. Remember, they are both in their beta stages so don't expect perfection just yet. :D As usual, I ask you to post your bug findings and any comments you have, here. I will consider replacing Raven's model with Shandris as it could be better. Also, in reply to C0nnick, the 'Felwood' tileset is a little harder to detail than 'Sunken Ruins' so it won't look as good. I will work on it though. If I have missed anything out, either here or on the levels, I apologise. I have had my hands full with major bugs and it's all gone pear shaped along the way. Everything should be fine now though. BTW, the demo is in campaign form so extract the 'Blademaidens.w3v' file to the campaigns folder inside your Warcraft III directory. Then select 'Custom Campaigns' from the title screen. Thanks guys! Dactrius P.S. Darion is a friend of mine that is going to act as the 'middle man' so to speak. He will forward any questions or comments to me, so I can reply more frequently. |

First I'd like to say you've done a really nice job making this campaign. The terrain was very nicely made. That's probably what I enjoyed most. As mentioned before, those little blip sounds whenever someone speaks is very annoying. I would personally like to see more custom abilities on the hero. The battles got very boring after awhile. There needs to be something there to spice it up. For the most part I was just draining and sitting there plunking them with arrows. Overall I think you've done a nice job and I know you really can't help the boring battles. However, to make this campaign a lot better you need to add something to make each battle fun. |

That was great! :D Although I hate the blip noisesl... However, if you need a voice actor for a guy, I can help you with that... :D Although my talents are limited, if you have a low pitch voice that needs an actor... 8) |

It seems the 'blip' (from FFVII in case you wondered) has been getting on everyone's nerves. It's not so bad if you turn the sound down a bit, but since it annoys people so much I will either replace it or scrap it altogether. The reason it's in there is to announce when a character is talking in case the player is looking away from the screen. As for the battles, this has been suggested before - (C0nnick I think). As he put it, I will include spells among the enemy creeps, but there is only so much you can do with real-time battles, thanks to the restrictive engine. Anyway, thanks for playing and the feedback. I'll get right on it. BTW, I have considered doing voices, (although most of the early characters are female so it would be a female dominated script), but I'm not sure how to go about it yet. I'll let you all know. |

The blip noise just annoys me because it ruins the "mood". It's all quiet and morbid, then... BLIP! Heh heh, if you need a guy for Edge I'd be glad to try. :gsmile: Just tell me the kind of voice you want for him and I'll give it a shot... |

last a heard level 1 & 2 are complete & level 3 was well under way (though last time i played it, there wasn't much to it) so i'll get a proper update for you tommorrow!!! |

It's update time folks. :D Okay firstly, an apology for the previous release. It was bugged to hell and I hadn't had chance to test it prior to release. All the bugs I found have been fixed along with a few new improvements. The stash now works (after so long trying, I did it) and your gold count now transfers between missions. The third level is currently in production and is about 30% complete. It should be completed about sunday, but expect a short delay. I've included (hopefully) some beta screenshots below. Also, I'm looking for people to beta test the future levels. I already have TKATK, C0nnick and KiNg_NeRuB, assuming they still want to do it. There will be no more public releases for this campaign, with the slight possible exception of another demo. (Probably if demand rises for it). Also, if anyone is adept at creating custom loading screens can you please make yourself known as I would appreciate the help. Thanks, Dactrius. |

i'll be happy to betatest and i can create custom loading screens + map previews, i'm also reasonably adept at almost anything else. |

I would be honored to beta test this RPG/campaign. You've done a most excellent job so far, and I can honestly say I have not enjoyed any other user-made RPG map more than this campaign. Little things I noticed: [Part 1] - Rune trap was WAY too easy. The path is practically laid out for you. [Part 2] - I recieved an extra Shadow Bow at the beginning of the level. - In the Satyr deathmatch, all the archers around you help with the battle. This makes it insanely easy. - When turned to a sheep, I swear I saw myself (in normal form) on the way back to the healer. Is that supposed to happen? General complaints: - Waaaay too much good stuff for it being so early in the RPG. - Is the bow supposed to add that much damage? It says it adds 2, but I think it adds closer to 7. - Like the others, I found the "blip" annoying. - Life tap is perhaps too good a spell for an RPG character? It makes healing potions near-useless, especially with the paladin backing you up with his healing spell. There may have been one or two things I missed, or forgot, but that's what I can remember seeing. Great job on this demo! I really enjoyed playing it, and would love to be a beta tester for future maps. (Wonder if I stressed that enough...) |
