Go ahead. I was playing this with some friends of mine, 4 of them, and oh man was it fun! Conserving ammunition, healing items, and team work was a MUST! When one team mate was low on life, we had 1 guy stay near him at the mill to protect him while the others went to go in search for a green plant to heal him. It was very fun, and I can't wait to finish it, and pray it will be a hit. :) The controls and camera can make you dizzy at times, but once I make more doodads walkable it shouldn't effect the overall gameplay too much. My friends said that the game was pretty scary when you get lost from the group and are on your own, hehe. There is no shared vision so itll be hard to keep up with your allies. Some new features to be added : -Shotgun! If your character aquires a shotgun many new things will happen! Enemies you kill will die a more gruesome death, you will have a small splash damage, AND the zombie will no longer respawn since he got blown to bits. :) -Speaking of which, when you kill a zombie his corpse goes back into the ground allowing him to re-emerge at a nearby location searching for victims. He will continue to do so unless you a)Blow him up or b)burn him. -Another new weapon, Fire! We all love fire. :D When you set your enemy on fire he will also no longer respawn, as well as be killed. :) -Flares. Flares will create light that will force the zombies away from you. This should be used when in situations where you're being mobbed by the zombies and need to make a quick getaway. I want a lot of stradegy involved in the gameplay, hopefully not too complicated because people on battle.net tend to be very lazy. XP Oh well, if you have any suggestions, comments, or additional ideas feel free to post them. :) |

My map is sort of like that, Your team of highly-trained marines are dropped into the grounds of a Laboratory (Res evil film anybody? lol) Well what happens is the Lab has been researching Viral, Biological and Chemical weaponary and something has gone wrong. Due to high winds the Specialists have dropped in differant locations, once you have chosen your class you have a basic weapon (Shotgun, Machinegun, Rifle, Flamethrower etc) but you can find weapons like Combat Knives which are used to stab the oncoming enemy in the head, stunning it and dealing heavy damage. Other items include Grenades, Mines, 1-shot RPG launchers and many more. If a flare gun is used on my map it creates a 'ping' at the position of the player that used it so other squad members can see where he is. The objectives are to reclaim some documents inside one of the labs and survive 12 'hordes' of zombies and other mutations. I been at this map about 1 month and a half now. (p.s. Sounded better and better the more I read.... love the screenshots too. When abouts do you estimate it being completed at your current speed of work? Because I DEFINATLY want to try it out. And I am pretty sure my mom would be interested too (yes I know that sounds weird, "mom" and interested in a game, but she is an avid gamer to. Little advise though.. she's color blind.. NEVER play against a color blind person in a first person shooter....). |

August 15th is when I think it will be done and ready to test, than if the tests go well probably that same day, or if not, the day after. I will work hard to reach that deadline, but MMORPGs like Lineage 2 are really taking up my time. :( Tommorow I should have screenshots of the first boss. :) Hopefully he will be challenging for players, but not too challenging. :) |
