I decided to work on a project that would require less triggering work, because RPGs tend to require a lot of advanced triggering (to be good, and stick out) so I decided to start a zombie map. Don't be mistaken, this isn't like any of the current (that I know of) Zombie maps out there, this is sort of like a first person shooter. You control your unit with arrow keys, and shoot your enemies by clicking them (like in my Shooter Style Map Demo) //Story You were sent by the king to investigate some strange events that have been happening in a near by forest... you now find yourself lost in the woods with whatever it is that is lurking there. So basically you're just trying to get out of there now and you must fight your way through a maze like forest finding items to aid you. You have a limited supply of ammo and can find more, you must reload your gun after you run out of bullets (represented by gold) and you can only reload if you have ammunition in your inventory. The camera I chose because it makes the atmosphere a lot better, since you cannot see behind you zombies can easily sneak up and get you. I find it pretty scary when i'm playing it, because all the items are in the unmarked areas of the forest, so you must leave the main path if you want more items, and when you leave the path your field of vision becomes smaller and you could easily get lost. Anyways, i've attached some screenshots of the action. :) |

Sadly the new camera forces me to use much flatter terrain, oh well I am still pleased with how the forest is looking. Here is me shooting down a zombie. >:) When you kill a zombie, a new one spawns in a random area within your location so you gotta be careful! Sometimes it may just be best to run. :) Oh, by the way, all of this was inspired (the base idea) from the Time Crisis thread. So thanks to them. |

That's a nice screenshot! I never knew a zombie dies by having the next bleed on the right side and then he tilts over... Heh, getting a screenshot of some unit dying is rare. |

Yes, I know. When I shot it I took mutliple screenshots so I could get the perfect one. :) So it wasn't easy. When a zombie is shot I made it have more blood effects, because we all like blood. hehehe. |

Looks great, but if you miss click, is it possible to shoot anyway? Because it would add more of a FPS feel to it... |

Here's a screenshot of the new, bloodier zombie skin I created, though it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped when it was applied to the model. Oh well, I still like it. :) |

If it was 1 hit ko, you could make them explode for maximum blood... :ggani: 8) |

I would add that mis-click thing but if you were going to go pick up an item with your hero, or selected him to use a healing item you would waste a lot of ammo. I was thinking of making it more like Time Crisis styled map where u could shoot anywhere and he'll shoot and if theres a target in the way he would get shot, but i'm not good enough at triggering to do that. :) |

just check what unit is selected/targetted by the click...if it was terrain or himself don't run the fire trigger... |
