Huh no, but since they all need to be BLPs there's no big matter...

@Wolverine: That's a rule stated before in the 1st post ("The resolution for both of these skins can be no more than 512x512.
"), we must leave a standard so newbies and veterans skin the same thing.

@Andy: Did you download the zip right? Read the README file. It's all there ready for skinning, Citizen did think on everything.

Im sure i wont win or anything being that this is my first skin ever but the warcraft 3 viewer isnt showing the model perfectly and the distortion (mostly on the wings, or when i move the camera) is starting to drive me nuts. Is there anyway to get this inside the actual game so i can look at it correctly?

You are only allowed to change the model to the extent that the appearance of a material is affected. This can include animated tverts, material editing etc.
This includes like adding smoke and infernal flames right? I'm sorry I'm buggin u guys, I don't want to go thru all the trouble of adding stuff to the model to find out I'm disqualified cause of adding stuff I shouldn't have.

@ReaperOfHeaven: We didn't decide yet but like some more weeks.

@Nok-tai: That's a issue with some video cards. Just go to Render -> ZBuffer Depth and change to both values one of them will work (it closes automatically when you select any).

@Dark Sage: No you can't add particles or any effects, the only changes to the model may be done on the material and it's layers.

k, I'm dropping out of this contest. It's taking me too long to work on this and I don't like the model much anyways. All I got done was the face and I think it looks like crap, I'm just gonna stick to my other skins.
For anybody who may be interested here's a shot of the face I did, and the 2d image if somebody wants to use it. It was going to be a half-demon, half-tauren.

Im in.. But I hope I make the deadline... BTW does it need teamcolors or is that optional?
09-08-2003, 08:08 PM#44
KDEWolf
@Sheyd: Too bad, it was looking nice. I wish you better luck with next skins.

@RebelHero: No need, mainly because the model doesn't have them by default.

How will it be judged? Sureley your looking at a balrog model, but for some reason, I don't think you'll be rating it off of that. I'm a fairly new skinner, and would appreciate any advice.

I'm hoping it is only judged off of skill, and creativity! :foot:
