"Owned"?? Dude, this is a discussion forum, you don't "own" people...and by the way your flaming in previous posts was pretty tasteless too. I wanted to post some ideas about this...but Bloodlust's flames and rudeness dissuaded me previously. I think, however, that using a dummy unit that is invulnerable and has a non-visible model is the way to go. Just create it on the spot the hero dies, then later revive the hero at that unit. I'm pretty sure that's the solution you're already considering though, right? |

Jeffsu, I completely agree. Bloodlust may be good at Wc3 triggering (his work shows that) but his continual flaming and tastless comments are of no help at all, in fact they are a hindrance. My method is to create a dummy unat at the location of the hero afters it's died, then kill it and use its corpse as the target for the revival spell. By the way, do you want the corpse permanent or not (like normal corpses). It'd probably be annoying if the corpse did go away, but right now it looks a bit wierd as after a large battle the are always 1 or 2 corpses still there with nothing else. |

" continual flaming " Kid, you can stfu. k? From my 300? 400? Posts or even more I made few unfriendly posts in _2_ threads cause people pissed me off and now u use **** like " continual flaming ". If you keep that going, I show you what a flame is. Its really enough now, I'm actually not in the mood of wasting my time here with kids like you. Thx. The same, just abit more friendly for the guy that doesnt get the "owned"-thingy. |

Bloodlust, with your "stfu" and "****" and other such unhelpful spoutings, I think you just proved 35263526's point for him.... I think people will respect you more if you can remain polite and reasonable. I know I am now off the topic, but it's just too hard to sit on my hands and say nothing when I see someone behaving...well...badly. |

1.I don't care if you think I proved a million points to anyone. 2.I don't care if people "respect" me when I help them or when I tell them that they better "stfu" or whatever. 3.Still, there are always people that agree with me and people that dont agree and people that need to play the adult. But I would be happy if a Mod could all the wasted time in this thread. |

Bnet-OP: I am not sure if that will help.. I cannot even see how the trigger should exactly work.. |

well this is what the trigger will do.. when an item is used by a hero (or what ever other unit if he changes the hero condition) in addition to the current effect of the item a dead hero ownd by the trigering player will be revived.... *NOTE the item bust have a charge... and you should make that charge 1! other wise it wont work.. :P |
| 09-12-2003, 11:37 PM | #39 |
well but (dying unit) wont work.. so u just save the unit as variable and then revive it someone is using an item? no matter where he is? |

ok.. you can do this.. i changed the ability of the resurection scroll in this pic to revive hero instantly... what this does is... if a hero is carrying the scroll and a hero dies.. that unit gets the revive hero ability (pretty much like a walking altar emote_sweat heh) well any ways... the scroll will work as a perminant item.. clicking it wont make it perish.. in other words... your hero will be a living altar untill that item is removed... so if you really wanna do it this way (the easy way & the recomended way) change the items ability to what i put in the pic bellow.. but also make a trigger saying: if a unit resurects a hero... then remove item (item that gave hero altar ability).... :gsmile: |

Simple: when hero dies, replace him with ordinary unit in place of hero and set a 10 second timer. If timer runs out without revive, replace the ordinary unit with previous (NOT NEW!) hero and kill him. If item is used before timer runs out, stop the timer and revive the hero at location of death. Simple :) |
