*gulp* don't kill the newbie... Out of curiosity, what are you going to use for the Warlock's Poison Cloud? Just edit Disease Cloud so it can be cast on an area? Also, how do you edit character models? I have epxerience in modeling and a good program but I'm not entirely sure how to import/export the actual character models. |

The poison cloud is replaced with the Rain of Fire and the Conjurer's Rain of Fire has been replaced by the Blizzard. In the manual is told that fire is the element the orcs most favor. That is the reason I changed these abilities. Also poison cloud didn't do damage to buildings, that's now also settled. I havn't created models myself yet, but I'll look into it this week. |

MasterSlowPoke made a one headed ogre model, I would suggest getting it when he releases it. see this thread: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums//...&threadid=4647 |

The main thing that this mod will need to be perfect is...BALANCING...Remember Warcraft 1 was not as balanced as todays warcraft |

Guest | Do you plan on having roads/wall (That were built at town hall) in the game? This would be hard to implement. Maybe the road would work similiar to blight? :bgrun: |
| 10-04-2002, 01:16 AM | #39 |
well, with blight you have to build the buildings on, roads you just have to build them next to. |

Maybe for poison cloud you could have Death and Decay instead? They do basicly the same thing, and you could, say cut down the casting period so it does 50% damage and lower the cooldown rate. |

Nope, I'm afraid there will be no roads, just like there are no walls. The poison cloud will also not be used, these abillities are accounted for. At this time I'm pretty busy with my trainee-ship, so the MOD is not my main concern, as soonas I have a little more time again, I will finish it. So remember I'm not quitting the MOD, I WILL FINISH IT!!!! At this moment I'm looking into model making, maybe I can still create a stables and an Orc/Human Tower like they were in the original. I will also look into that one headed Ogre and maybe use it, or create one myself :gsmile: |

Guest | I loved the war 1 walls... soooo much strategy. I loved the war 2 multiplayer ones just as much.... walling in a catapult was just so satisfing |

Well, ok I'll look into those walls :gsmile: This might mean that I really should get working on new models, It probably doesn't have to be that difficult, just modifying an excisting model with a new building. This means, wall should be build by your town hall without the use of a peasant/peon. I'm not sure if that is possible, but it is on my list of things to do. I'm on it.... |

Guest | You can make buildings build other buildings... you just need to figureout how to incrase the "range" at which you can build them... |
| 10-07-2002, 10:09 PM | #45 |
maybe you could have the town hall have the ability to build a wall at a chosen point next to it, then give the wall a one-shot ability to build the next segment, and so on. Target as a normal spell, rinse and repeat. |
