The problem with having 4 players to an empire is that one person could decide to ruin the whole game for the other players.

Its 3 players. And I am thinking of having some sort of voting system (well discuss it tommorrow). But then again, and team game; even blizzards can be ruined by 1 player.

Backstabbers have always sucked.

Now how about adding a *Ban This Person* thingy where people could send their replays to an e-mail and the next version would have that person "banned"? That's just one idea.

The other is to have a simple 'kick this person' kind of thing where either Red or the players on the team can vote someone of.

A bigger problem would be if a team leaves... Who will you trade with to get, let's say stone... Stone is a vital and essential part of the game, as is all the other 3 starting resources. Without them you'd lose. This means we'd need an AI which would handle trade, build, and other stuff. But before we think about this I think we should complete the map, then see what we could do about it.

I thought of that idea in the shower with a Ban list aswell. And it shouldnt be too hard to impliment.

Legolas, this system is just an array with names that we check all slots with at game start. The issue to discuss is when we get around 200 names to check, what then?

I am really interested in your project.
I know how modifying units and i am not a bad terrainer too.
i think it will be a good idea after you finish the basic game, to make a campaign with this system.
