Ok may I ask something?

Would you like to make something else than final five?something new? we could take every great features of rpg and make one game? oh and if you are interest I had started a fighting systems(not turn based, completly original)

phantasydreamer, I am working on the battle system. It is going to rock the house. Don't worry about it. I still do want to do the first world of FFV because I love FFV.

I will send you guys a prototype of the battle system as soon as I get it done, it just needs some fine tuning now, and I need to get the turns working. Right now I have it based off of this, you have your characters run around, and at a random time frame, like every 30 - 120 secs you run into a battle. When you run into a battle you are transported to a side of the map that corrlates with the place you are at in the game i.e.. desert, forest, grassland, etc... Then floating text appears and it says stuff like
Attack
Defend
When you press the hotkey, you then train a unit that triggers the editor to do stuff. So if you pressed "A" then it would train the A unit and you would then attack. If you pressed "D" then it would train the D unit and you would defend. It is going to rock when completly finished, don't worry.

Mistehwiggles, that multiboard is awsome.

You know what, we need some more ppl for this mod. The two of you are great, but I don't think you will be able to do all of the work by yourselves.

Narwanza, dont use a unit trainer, use a hired units, because with trained, you see the bar thing.

Update! you can now press down and up with the arrow keys. Im gonna make so that you press escape or (left and right) depending on how you guys want to select the different stuff.

I fixed the problem with seeing the unit bar thingie. I just select another building as soon as the unit has started training. It work just as well as hired units.

[edit] Now i switched it to hired units and now i have the little thing that tells me how many I have in stock. ARRGGHH!!!

Hey about the terrain I find it impossible to complete it for two reasons:
-The map isnt enough big to make the whole world just like in final V.
- If we make it even if not the whole world enter in the map, we will never be able to make ten villages, 20 dungeons....

What I suggest, a completly new story based on the first final but with final five features or we just cant make it.

So we would make something like: At the begining there is a prophetie and the prelude music theme. Then there are four warrior that discovered a magical cristal that gave them power of maybe 10 jobs(ok I know a better job systems than the final 5 one, the Dragon warriors one)(it is simular but you only have ten classes, when you learn two or more you can have new classes)
ex: class are: Fighter, black mage, warrior, white mage, thieves, blue mage, archer, monk, Lancer and let's say druids?
if you learn say archer and druids, you can become a ranger. If you learn thief and archer you can become an assassin?

tell me what you think about that class systems, it is just a suggestion.

So then you would have to save the world from evil just like in the first final and we could create a bit better story?

phantasydreamer, do you have UMSWE 4.0? it allows you to make maps that are like 500 x 500. You can get it here. mistehwiggles is doing the class system, and my friend is doing the story edits that we need. I need you to make a good map, don't worry about all of the other stuff.

okay mistehwiggles, this may sound crazy, but it is definitly possible. You know that you can alpha out parts of a model using the skin, right? So what if we made a master model that was every single class model, and then for each skin we would just alpha out the parts we don't need? How does that sound?

I may have misunderstood how you described your battle system... You have a unit (structure?) that has hotkeys for Attacking/Defending/Etc, and the trained units do nothing but set off triggers?

If that is the case, I'd strongly suggest just making a stationary unit (zero move and no attack enabled so you can use M and A for whatever) and dummy abilities to set off the triggers.

Sorry if that's not what you were doing, hehe. I wouldn't mind helping you guys out if you need someone to trigger, but that's really all I do ;)

To anyone who wants to download it, besides the two that are on my team, you will have to PM for the password. I need a good reason to give you the password. (a great reason would be is that you want to be one of the many awsome modelers I really Reallly need) mistehwiggles and phantasydreamer I will send you the pass via private messages.

Comments:
-Try keeping the camera still in one place.
-The area where the baddies are,are too far apart.
