Coastal Conflict: Maiev vs. Illidan

LEVEL DESIGHN UPDATE:

-added more towers in left and right lane.
-nearly completed orc, maev and illidans base designs. (need to add the shops and Units...)
-middle lane is now split onto two lanes, coming together at the fortress in the middle.

GAMEPLAY UPDATE:

-u will no longer be able to take control of the fortress in the middle, and there will be no towers on it. (no need)
-trolls and druids will now spawn to middle lane instead of the left and right.

Arthas loses power throughout the whole Undead campaign. It ends with him being allowed to level again. He would not be back at full power, and Illidan would be maxed out and in evil form. Arthas wouldn't have a chance.

really this make sence i am sure my self arthas killed illidan he stabbed illidan on the belly i sure of it and it is true maiv would make pact with lich king and blood elfs and naga live in outland

Well, ILLIDAN SURVIVED! end of discussion. I read it on tons of sites. And the reason y this aos isnt in outland, cuz the red titleset is ugly ://// at least, i think. They just went to kalimdor for a unknow reason. Thus Maiev chases him.

i'd say they fled there BECOUSE maev chased them.. and now they are at the adge of the waterside, driven to some far corner of the world or somthing...

but please stop discussing story, and start discussing gameplay.

Maybe one of the Str heros should be able to stop hordes of enemies, like stun or something. Not kill them but just momentarily stun them.

ye well the skills is not the hardest part, we got plenty ideas for that, the hardest part is actually the skins... what models to use for maev str... wé're probubly going to use a death knight for the 2nd (with leetish skills) but then we still need a clapmeister for maev... maybe that rotting flesh golem thingie?

as for Illidan, we'll probubly use somekind of satyr for the last strength maybe something like dota's jug or something.... unless anyone has a better idea?

well arthas does have the power of the lich king now, so i think he could definitely take on the injured illidan... and as for why they are on the beach, how about the burning legion is still looking for illidan on outland, where they saw him trying to hide... so they're just regrouping at the beach when suddenly maiev appears, sees how powerful he has become, and joins forces with a persuasive lich! :D

i cant wait to play this map erwtie!

how about for the base control you use a flag from each base which heroes can capture, that way you can pass it around instead of forcing whoever killed the leader to own it. (but if you drop it you lose control, to stop people from hoarding flags at their base) ...though you might want to remove all unused heros from people leaving if you do this, because people will just stick them all on the unused hero back at the base and hide it... meh... maybe flags would just be an unneccessary complication... :bgrun:

true, true... but we wanna make this thing as simple as possible, very playerfriendly and easy to understand fer newbs. (espacilly easy 2 learn!:D )

And, y we made the killer the new leader, it gives a lot of cool possibility's... Imagine, u let a crow-from druid of the talon deal the finishing blow, then u have a fliying leader! easy 2 hide.. impossible 2 kill. Off corse u have to have a good team, this wil be a hard thing to accomplish.


So where gonna use a buff system: once u've captured a town, u get a crown above your head (inner fire) in the status screen u can c wich town that hero has. We need to think of a anti-camp system. Oh wait, we have somthing... If ur really desperate, u can destroy the spawner....
This way camping with spawners will not be all-mighty becouse the enemu can destroy those spawners.... how 'bout that?:foot:

what vig0r just said in short:
-the status screen will show wich hero own wich town...
-camp leaders will have a buff saying 'this unit is leader of -that- camp' and will have a crow above their head.
-if the enemy has all towns and you are loding badly and becoming very desporate... u can always try to destroy the neutral spawners, so the village will be useless to the owner... but it wont be easy to do that.

when you killed all of the guard and the towers of a village in you attemt to kill the leader, you can always hire new guards at the shop of that town... maybe even regrow the towers but i just though that up so...

personally i think it would greatly boost gameplay if we stick to the hero-town king system. that way people will be even more focussed on hero2hero cambat and pwning, wich is good :D

hmmm... wasnt really a short message...

terrain is about 99%... made a map.

Allright... this is where we need your help. We need names for every camp, a with a funny wink is ok, for example, we're probubly going to call the human village 'Townsville' (powerpuff gals?) seriouse names are more then welcome!

so...

human camp: townsville
Druid camp: ...
Troll camp: ...
Orc Camp: ...

maievs and illidans camps will just be called 'Illidans forces' and 'Maievs Forces' or 'The Watcher'.

we also need cool names for each camps leader:
human paladin: ...
Strong Melee Troll: ...
Strong Furbolg (druids leader/defender): ...
Orc Blademaster: ...

This looks great I'll be watching out for this. I do wish people would start spelling Maiev's name right though. Sorry, just nit-picking at things - it's what I do. ;)

I don't like the story line though. I'm not suggesting change it or anything, your map wouldn't make sense then, but I strongly feel that Maiev would never betray her Night Elf sisters by making a pact with the Undead, no matter how obsessed she was with catching Illidan.

This map looks very interesting though, I look forward to playing it and good luck!

BTW, the rest of you guys who cares if Illidan's dead or not. This isn't an official Blizzard campaign so let them create the story how they want.

i'll have to disagree on that. She allready kinda betrayed Malfurion in campaign by telling him that Tyrannade was destroyed by undead, wich was not the case. She is slowely driven mad in campaign, or at least showing the sighns... in our game she kinda flipped, especially after malfurion kinda expelled her from the Night Elves for lying to him (wich is also a sighn of that her judgement has been a bit corrupted)

and besides... w/e... its our game, we get to call the shots :ggani:
(allthough i dont think our shots are that far off...)

i like the fact that everyone tries to bring down the logics of our storyline, it helps us make it better. we wont have an intro mavie, but we probubly will have a black screen for a hort while with the story in short, so we dont get too much wtf's and omg's :gsmile:

thnx for the compliments! i love hearing people say we got a good thing going, makes me want to actually finish this!

..and find a way to bypass my routers fire walls and host the darn game... :D:gsmile:

If you want to put the original warcraft 3 names, maiev's forces name is "Maiev's Watchers" and illidan's forces name is "Illidan's Alliance", but im not sure about this.
Anyway, i have an idea about the human paladin's name, i think it should be something like: "Lord (Something) Lightbearer\Orcslayer".

Yeah, she only cares about catching Illidan now. Malfurion even said he felt she would do more damage chasing him than he would. I could easily see her allying with the undead.
