Guest | After the fall of the Black Citadel and the destruction of the Burning Legion in Outland, at the hands of Illidan Stormrage. The Blood Elves established their new home in the lands surrounding the Black Citadel. Several Nagas have left the underwater city of Nazjatar to build an outpost in Outland in the former Orcish city of Zeth’Kur near to the Devouring Sea. Meanwhile, the Draneis have returned to their ancestral lands of the Blade’s Edge Mountains and are slowly rebuilding their former civilization under the leadership of the old, but wise Akama. Now, the Blood Elves, Nagas and Draneis have called themselves the Outcasts, and have vowed to serve Illidan against the Lich King and the Scourge. But before anymore action can be taken onto Ner’Zhul. All the remaining Demonic bastions must be purged of Outland and the Fel Orc clans had to be dealt with. The Outcasts embarked upon a campaign intent on destroying all the major Orcish fortresses of Draneor, and after two long years. All the major clan chieftains had been killed and the most important fortresses had been razed to the ground. And Shadowmoon Ruins – the Fel Orc’s main fortress had been destroyed, at the cost of many brave Outcast’s lives. After the battle, the Outcast leaders declared the city was cursed and no living being should ever enter them at the peril of his own life. Now, the Nagas are controlling the Devouring Sea and what was supposed to be a small outpost has quickly developed into a gigantic collection of underwater cities and coastal settlements, as well as countless Island fortresses across the seas of Draneor. The Blood Elves have built several cities for their people to reside safely in the harsh land of Draneor. They are slowly building a kingdom and are everyday learning more about magicks. Meanwhile, the Draneis have claimed the Blade’s Edge Mountains and the Thunderlord Plains for themselves and their crops fields and settlements make up the land that was formerly theirs. And so, the Outcast Empire was created. A year passed without any imminent danger, apart from the occasional Demon or Fel Orc raiding parties. But neither has appeared frequently, and the Demons are believed to have abandoned Outland and the Fel Orcs to nearly be entirely annihilated. But in the past few months, large Fel Orc companies – sometimes numbering a thousand, have been spotted by Dranei scouts moving through the Bone Wastes in direction of the Shadowmoon Ruins. Nagas have spotted Fel Orc shipyards building hundreds of strong warships and in some cases, flying machines. Finally, the Blood Elven mages have sensed an increase of diabolical magicks across the land. A month after those were spotted, Dranei scouts were positioned in all strategic positions around the Shadowmoon Ruins and for some time nothing new was reported apart from the massive Fel Orc bands moving the Cursed City. But a month later, they returned with alarming news. The old war banners had once again been raised high over the city towers and more Fel Orcs were preparing for war. Each Clan Chieftain had bowed to the Fel Orc Rogar Bloodeye and pledged their loyalty until death to the Blood Legion, as they called themselves. Bloodeye was an Orc of the strangest sort; the blood of Mannoroth is strong in him and his brutality and Demonic powers are well known across Outland. But unlike others of his kind, he has no intentions of serving the Burning Legion. He intends to destroy the Outcast Empire and then, reopening the Dark Portal, and once again charge into the world of Azeroth. The drums of war echo once more across the plains of Outland. The old banners of war have once again been raised. And soon, chaos and war will reign over the world of Draneor. |

Cool Satanas, so I take it that you control the Dranei leader, (after Akama dies very soon in the first map) and you go to war against the Fel Orc armies, and over several missions you have to attempt to overcome the attacking forces, help your allies, and destroy the Fel Orcs for good? and, btw thanks |

Guest | Sorry I didn't include what I thought should happen in the above post. But I was very short on time. So the thing is (the way I see it, though you can change that to what you want, your campaign), Akama lives, and he is very much like Thrall in the TFT Orc Campaign. An NPC that doesn't do much apart from talking or standing around. You are a Dranei (you pick what class, etc...) and the campaign starts DURING the above story. You are basically sent as a scout to investigate what's going on in the Shadowmoon Ruins. And you're the one who reports the war banner being raised again, Fel Orcs rallying... etc. Akama is worried about this and sends you as a messanger to the capital of the Empire; the Black Citadel. So that you can warn the Blood Elves. You go to the Citadel and meet a Blood Elf who helps you out (very much like Cairne does in the Rexxar campaign) and then, you must return to Akama. And by the time you reach the Dranei city (you choose a name), the war has beguan and the Fel Orcs are invading. It's quite similar to the TFT Orc campaign if you think of it. The Draneis are trying to rebuild their homeland (like the Orcs did in Durotar) then they send an Dranei to investigate some matters (like Rexxar in the first chapter) and the Fel Orcs attack under the leadership of Bloodeye (like the Humans and Proudmoore) then the Draneis sends for help (like Rexxar did with the Ogres and Tauren) only this time it's the Blood Elves and Nagas. Anyways, you get the point of the campaign. P.S: This is only my outline, feel free to change (you campaign). |

Guest | 3 days ago. I didn't have a single post :) Like I said, feel free to edit my outline. And remember, you still have Garona's coming. I suggest that you start working on this as soon as possible to show people that there is some work going on. Otherwise people won't join. So if you can't terrain, I think you should do some skins for now, or go to the request forum and ask for some so that you can have something to show and that'll be some skins less to work on afterwards. |

Er...sorry to sound dumb but i never understood wat skinning is...can u help me pl? |
| 09-28-2004, 07:05 PM | #40 |
Guest | Texturing. For example, if you take the Orc Grunt, and you want to make him blue skinned, you skin him using photoshop/paint shop pro... etc. Have a look at the Skinning Forum in this site. Or at www.wc3sear.ch in the "skins" section and you'll understand what I mean. |

isnt that really for the modeler to do? |
| 09-28-2004, 07:59 PM | #42 |
Guest | Not necessarily. If a modeler does a brand new model or a geomerge, then yeah, usually that's his job. But when it's on an existing model, then no, it's a skinner. Skinners do skins Modelers do models |

Did u started work on the Dranei race project ?? I like Dranei from TFT camapigns and was searching the forums for meeting someone who likes dranei . I dont know the history of dranei as i haven't played wc 1 & 2 , so to me dranei are a very primitive race in the outland and facing near extinction !! Ok , i am not goin to tell a new story , i stick with satanas story ( RETURN OF DRANEI ) but u seems to be very shaky in ur project stand !!! did u get all da neccessary people ?? If not just go throu the forum and meet the excellent modellers ,skinners etc. u earlier posted -- u need someone for " items " but what kind of items ?? i can help u on ideas mainly spells. pls do post the progress of the project. |
