anyone got ideas on how to make mikes nuchucs?

Actually, I do.....

Add additional attachment points to the model and use Visibility modifiers to turn them off and on.

Make one set of nunchukas that is not aniamted, and another that is, and attach them both to the hand.

During the normal aniamtion, have the aniamted one turned off. during attack aniamtions, turn off the static nunchukas and turn on the animated ones.

hmmm... I'm sure I pressed the submit reply button... oh well...

what I wrote was: you COULD take the quillboars weapon and use it (animated ofcourse) and attach it to his hand... I think that would be a possibility... (with a little bit of model editing you could really make them look like nun-chucks (sp?)

Just a question: if you're going to include Bebop and Rocksteady, what models will they use?

I forget which is which... but the Quillboar/Razormane would definately work well for one of them.

thanks guys,
i will try the static nunchucs idea. although im not quite sure how to do it.

anyway, here are my new models

i redid the skins on the shell, and made shredder's red clothes darker.

i put mike in there without nunchucs, just so i could have 4 turtles.

i also added more texture to the head of the turtles.
and got rid of the shoulder parts, as they do not have them.

beebop, i will use a quillboar, change the texture around, make him less hunched. i will add glasses and what-not.

rocksteady i will use the standard orc grunt. will be a lot of work though. i can explain all the changes.

can you explain in greater detail your idea for creating the nunchucs?
i tried that, but i cant get the nunchucs to have animation still.
turned the chain int an mdx, and attached it in mdl editing, but it doesnt use the razormane's animation. it just lies still.

i would greatly appreciate your advice.

See, that's the problem... you're going to have to strip all the anims from the razormane similar to the way I did for the Angel Wings I have on my Golem.

I stripped out the animations i didn't need, vertex-edited the model to virtually remove the parts I wasn't going to use, and then translated, scaled, and rotated the wings to the place I needed them.

Who's gonna be April? You could probably also use an ogre as the robot suit for krang. I can't wait to see more, I used to a big TMNT fan.

its working now,
all i need to do is texture it , scale it, and translate it,
which is taking a while,
so im gonna take a break and start again tommorow.

thanks spyder, i was tryin to figure out who would be krang, i never even thought of the ogre, i was just gonna have the technodrome, with krang for the portrait picture.

Ok, very nice stuff here! I'm serious, I will download this mod the day it comes out lol.

Ideas:

For April, use a modified Sentry. It can easily fit a reporter girl without weapons.

For the Nunchukas: Use the Gnoll's Flail, and change the Ball part into the other end of the Nunchukas. That should work.

Items:
Replace all healing potions with Pizza slices of different sizes :D.
Have a skate board item that works like a boosted boots of speed, and attaches a skateboard model to the wearer' feet.

its not different cause its just added nunchuc, i just thought i'd tell you so you know mike has a swinging chuck.

good idea for april. and the skateboard idea, my roomate though of that also, he kept telling me to do it, but i dont think i will, it would be cool, but i dont wanna deal with the animation, it'll just be a pain in the a-hole. thanks for the ideas.

i guess now i will move onto the footsoldiers, so the turtles have people to fight. hum, thier not gonny be as much fun as they will be time consuming.....

Trolls=Footsoldiers maybe? Mostly for their animations, though. It would take a lot of modeling to get them to look right.

thats what i was thinking too, i saw someone did a ninja character from the troll.
