I think im on this team im making the spells but i know which ones 2 make yet...
i looked at the spell thread for this but i dunno if im supposed to make them. and im becoming a better skinner... i think

okay, i know we dont have a large team, but we are making more progress than alot of other mods (for example, tainted blood). Yes twistar, you should make those spells. Refer to the email i sent you. there will be 48 spells, 16 for each character type, each character type has four spell levels with four spells in each level. the levels are basic, good, power, and godly or something like that. That thread has ideas for about 3/4 of the total amount we need. we can brainstorm the rest here when you are done. I will work on triggering the tribal and mountain maps once i get my internet working (that takes precedence, sry, im not at home)

To tell you the truth, I didn't like the demo of the game engine. It bored me. The first level needs to be more interesting, I'll edit it and put the mushrooms back in. I'll add an introduction cinematic. It will show the prince as a child and- I won't tell any more. I want it to be a surprise when it is released (I hope it gets finished. Also, I like a small team, there are less problems with contrasting ideas. I work badly in groups because no body ever likes my ideas even though my ideas are usually too creative and crazy for school. lol) The mushrooms are my favorite part. You might want to try to figure out a better way to do your engine, because it takes up too much room in the inventory. Plus, the people don't learn hero spells. I'm going away for a four day weekend (valentines day), so I can't do stuff for a while.

You should get someone else to extract the models. I can import most formats but 3DS is one that I can definitely do and I know that there is software on this site to extract the models.

the assignment was for stereohead, and stereohead, it wasnt supposed to be a good mission. it was only supposed to be showing how the engine worked. And i didnt even notice that there were mushrooms in the first place!

Okay, yes. It's not the mission. It's the way the wholes system is set up. You should try a different engine. We will see when the game gets farther along, but those are my first impressions. I think I'll make the forest tomorrow. Should it be a forrest where you can freely walk, or are there paths. Is it a maze? I'll do whatever, unless you instruck otherwise.

hmm give me suggestions with how to redo the engine. I still want it to develop a class based on what weapon you use.

Make the hero guy a normal unit and I think there are triggers to just change properties of a guy. He could also have two attacks, one is archery and one is sword (no staff, it's just a sword with no blade). You can figure out how you set it to what weapon the person uses, because the changing people thing won't be good if you are going to have the guy go from map to map. I think I might actually make that cinematic that I was saying I would make.


Can anybody export some models to 3DS format for me? I know it can be done!

na. i dont really like that stero head. it wont seem as good. beside u can just use the hide/unhide command for it. it just going to be a few mor triggers but it can be done. personly i like this engine so far. maby ther could be a better alternative to thes 2 but will take some thinking(couldn't find one thou) and may be to late wene we get farther on

Also, when we are finished, then I'll make the cinematics. I like making cinematics. You can just send me all that we have (when we are finished) and I'll put the triggers in.

i could try camaras but i dont really know how good i am with them :bgrun:. but ill get started on the spells we got so far :D but it gonna be kinda hard for some of them :( .
