Wc3campaigns thoughts

This is a great site, but for a site that is extremely popular, there isnt many downloads, you dont even got wallpapers :bgrun:

well... this site is like chaos rite now... all these ppl like the thelimpone and feraldemon24.....

we need more good mods...

i am probably gonna spend most my time at MOdforge, BS, or BE because this site is going downhill real fast....

I'll keep it short... i agree with pencilgod.

I think this is a very good site! It's the best War3 modding site I know of, followed by BE!

Here are my suggestions:

- There are too many inactive mods! I've seen people with 1 (1) post who are mods already! There is a project checkup, why can't there be a mod checkup? Get rid of all the inactive mods and replace them with new ones!

- Be more strict with flaming/spamming! first a warning, and then ban! But look out with the noobs; they sometimes don't know that they're spamming (I know it sounds weird, but it's true)! Also, I've noted a few mods that spam/flame! I think that's highly unacceptable!!! As a mod you need to set an esample to the rest of the community, and not flame/spam someone/something you don't like! I strongly sugest we get rid of these mods and replace them with people who are polite and really want to help the (people on) htis site!

- Don't ban usernames, it doesn't work! If someone's username is banned, they just make a new one and start flaming/spamming again! Make a ban that really works!

- Hold Project Checkups more often! And do the same with mods (as I stated above!)


I don't agree there aren't any innovative ideas anymore! I know there are many noobs around here, and many projects don't do anything really revolutionary, but there are a few projects that are really worth it! Some examples:
Creatures of the Night - Ever seen such good cinematics?
FPS Mod - Although I'm still waiting for the next Beta to come out, you can't call this project not revolutionary!
and there are others...!

And if people start complaining that they've already seen everything, and therefor spam/flame the poor noob who thinks he has done something very cool, why don't they make something new themself?
Don't tell others to make something new if you're too lazy to do it yourself!

Preach on Nuladion:D I was just thinking and why don't we get an archive of the Screenshots of the month? THere are some realy good old ones and some of them make nice backgrounds, also it would be cool if there was a backgroung contest where you could enter drawn art or tuched up WE shots you make just for there good looks,... maybe...

First, I didn't say there aren't any invoatiove things anymore, I said there never has been for war3.
High quality, but high quality != innovative. This however is a case where trying to do more unique than just more perfections would probably be bad,
True, bu I personally have my doubts on them ever making it more than a gimmick.

this site is good, but they are a lot of ppl who are constantly pointing out every single little bad thing about anything.....

i dont wanna start a flame war but do u always have to be so negative? cant u maybe look on the bright side once in a while? for instance, i posted that lordred's spell editor was good, and he said that ms excel is better or as good....

It wasn't supposed to be offensive! I know lots of people have great ideas and are trying to put them into War3! :D
I just can't stand the ones who say that 'the noobs' are only doing everything that has been done already! Well, everyone has to start somewhere!

Hey, Uh... damn I forget who it was... well anyway, I just wanna say that you guys dont really seem to know what mods have potential, and what ones dont, for example.... HALF THE MODS OUT THERE build up at a snails pace or are completely stopped. But still, they wouldnt host Project Halo, with WC3Campaigns support, Project Halo would have exploded, did anyone see the thred we had? It had already surpassed half the mods out there.... And so, WC3Campaigns should put way more thought into what Mods they host, and have sum sort of guidelines for them

I do like this site, but it needs some more stuff. And I would like some new graphics, getting a lil' old now and days.

I don't think this site is as good anymore, they keep saying they are almost done something, blah blah, 3 months later, still almost done, then it appears to be stopped (FoK). Also, the site needs better tutorials for how to use tools and do stuff.

And finish the new frozen throne map editor!!! The only one out is v301, and we are up to 311! I should expect better from a site named 'wc3campaigns'.

Um, FoK is being worked on. If you think it took too long, well.......you're right. And if you think it should and will be the best campaign you've ever played, you'll probably be let down; however, I don't want to hear you complaining until you make a campaign. It's hard work. And FoK IS being worked on. It' sbasically being completely redone; therfore, it should be considered a brand new project to all of you. New ppl working on it and everything. It won't be too much longer.

Well, this is hard work too! Instead of cursing this site because they haven't released a new editor yet, you could ask them the progress or ask if you could help them!
Remember, we all have lives out of Wc3Campaigns, and to create things takes time!
Patience is one of the best abilities a human can have!
