Guest | I love it, but I took the second one because it DOES need some changes, really cool people except some exceptions *cough* TheLimpOne *cough* |

There's been nothing special since RoK and the DM mod and the much promised FoK seems dead. It needs a cleanup and more special things. |

Maybe some layout modifications should be done... |

About the "nothing special since RoK and DM mod" you're right but it still is more than any other site has. For the second thing - you're FoKing wrong! :D FoK ain't dead. It's completed but not released which is why it's not finished (I know that sounds stupid but that's the way it is). Either that or FoK is 20% complete and they are lying to us ;) I personally think the site's cool but too many people have been watching catastrophical movies lately -> "We're Doomed!" "Wc3C should be closed!" "We should all leave Warcraft". Oh well it's not Wc3C's fault. The site doesn't choose people. It's the people that choose the site. Enjoy your stay. Martinez |

Yes i agree to you qmr2cool... Too bad you're leaving as well... i think only me and Zap are going to stay... |

I love it as it is, but there are a few things I can think of: 1 - RELEASE FOK DAMNIT! Normally, I'm not the one to complain, and I know it's finished, but WHY AREN'T YOU RELEASING IT? 2 - A download center that is actually working, and contains some downloads. Yes, you can point at the people here ofcourse, but I uploaded my skins like 3 times and nobody seems to make any backups before redoing the DL center once again. |

Granted, I'm not fond of him at all, but your grudge against him is tiresome. Please stop. |

When my bro saw it in my WE he asked "where the hell did you get the expansion from?". It's an edited dreadlord model and skin. I assume that the thing that makes people think it's sargeras is that I made him look like the Sargeras pic from War3.com (the face and especially the horns). It still needs some work though -> from far he looks pretty cool but if you'd see the face in the portrait ://// |

Guest | Maybe the old school of wc3campaigns is leaving us, but we may wait for the new generation of wc3campaigns... If it exixts... Cuz I have seen tons of "noobs"(And it is "noobs" with <"> cuz they aren't really noobs) that can make great stuff. Maybe this is just a season of change... What is coming in the future? What is coming for we and wc3campaigns? Only god knows that |

Hey, I'll try to stick around (at least till after TFT is out for a while :P) :D :D |

Guest | With alot of people bailing on their mods halfway through, maybe there should be a section opened where you can download old models and campaign maps that arent going to be used. |

Personally I think you should make a flash, or little document about how to deal with things on the forum. The biggest problem is flames as far as I seen, with people like ChickenFight constantly going about it. So someone should explain to the populace. If you don't like someone, don't post anything, if you flame them people will also post either out of humor or to flame more. This keeps bad threads with high post counts. All posts will go eventually, if they get boring, and all posts get boring eventually. People like Maverick and TheLimpOne wouldn't be at all problems if no one ever posted flames. Maverick is responsible for his predicament by asking for comments which brought it all on. With TheLimpOne its ridiculous, nothing is all that interesting about what he posts but the flames. Be courteous. I havent seen any of this for quite a while. Alot of poeple complaining about problems, and sometimes they are answered. When is the last time any person posting has been felt like they are wanted in this forum. (I don't know if this actually matters in the least bit but it could dissuade people new to forum) |

Ok first off, isn't everyone being a little melodramatic about the whole "wc3campaigns dying" thing? The main reason that it's such as issue is because people keep posting the same silly things. I'm not saying to ignore it, I'm not say it isn't happening. But c'mon, all these posts from people leaving are a bit much IMO. Half of them that say they leave are still around and it all seems like a bit of attention-seeking to me. If they are leaving permanently I can put up with it, but the hype of it all has only served to fuel the miasmic disconsolation of the community. Next thing: The mods situation. It's clear as day to anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past 3 months that there hasn't been anything breathtaking happening at wc3campaigns. I'll admit I'm a little perturbed myself but just because we hit a quiet patch doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. There's a major update for the New Race Mod coming, not to mention the sequel to Darky26's "*********" is in the wind. Don't get me wrong though. I'll stand by any motion to get rid of the detritus and dead-end projects lying around, if only to tidy this place up a bit. Onto admins and mods: We don't need more. It's as simple as that. At the absolute baseline, 50% of the people in various staffing positions do absolutely nothing. This is in no way a criticism of those mods that actually are regularly active, without a doubt they do a great job at not letting this place fall apart too often. But when I look at the main forum page I can't even remember who half the people listed as "moderators" actually are anymore. As the old saying goes, less is more. Now the downloads centre: I'm aware that there are certain constraints with getting it fully operational, but the fact that it is incomplete and emptier than my wallet hurts this place more then people realise. Because when people need to look elsewhere to find the tools and utilities they need to make their games, we lose peeps. The difficulty with all the third party tools we have is that most of their creators have left long ago, leaving many people in their wake who have found bugs but can't get help in repairing them. It's the same thing in every community, so don't feel special :P. And finally, some replies to specific comments by people: qmr2cool - I like it how you defend the greatness of this place, but leave a footnote saying you're leaving it at the end. Consistency is not one of your strong points, I imagine :) p51mus - Very well said. I couldn't have put it better myself. ChickenFight and Alexian - This is a general discussion about the site, don't bring individual member's names in to this, otherwise you're being as bad as the people you are denouncing. Well I'm finished for now. I hope you enjoyed my insight on the whole shimoozle Miki. ~kharma |
