Contest is now closed and results along with the winner's heads will be posted along the castle walls in a few hours. Got a few more entries then I expected, cheers everyone who entered.

I did 500 as the distance apart and it worked sometimes but other times it would run outta space and crash trying to find more space. on 350 the towers still stay apart while being able to place them a lot closer

Although this competition seems a bit interesting, i'd much rather be spending my time on creating a distributable map.

Nice idea though Kharma, you should find many skilled triggerers through this method. I, however, do not need a competition to prove my skills.

One could certainly say the same to you. Instead of attempting to inflate your own ego, why not post something more constructive? This competition wasn't meant for people to prove their skills, but as a means of providing something interesting to the community.

Ah, it is not I that needs the thrashing Tucks, although I do not appreciate such immaturity when it comes to stating opinions. Mussing, i do not wish to do this, it's hard to be able to share some ideas and thoughts without someone having to say something immature about it. I hope you understand Tucks! Thanks ;)

You are pretty much saying this competition is beneath you, that are a god at map making, and that if anyone disputes this claim they are 'immature', all this is done hiding behind a smiley face. Well here is my opinion; you an arrogant map maker who produces mediocre maps... the community would be better off without you.

Alright I'm really sorry for the delays. I've been suddenly rushed with work both in cyberspace and the real world over the past few days (That's also why it seems I've been neglecting my duties in the forum recently -- more apologies). The website is completed, but it seems Stoned has been eluding me the past few days so I haven't been able to talk to him about the hiccups with my FTP. Competition two is also ready to go but I'm going to move all future comp details to the site to try and relieve some pressure from the forum. This post will still remain here however, as a place for discussion.

Also, in the brief moments that I'm here I ought to make some ho-hah about warning the next person who even thinks about retorting to the little spat above. This competition is simple fun. The amount of effort or emphasis you put on how important the competition is falls to you. I can't make anyone here compete - I thank everyone who did for taking an interest, but at the same time I respect the wishes of those who declined. And now for today's excerpt from the Book Of Kharma:
"Remember everyone that how you phrase what you want to say is just as important as the message itself. If you feel you need to add a footnote expecting people to whine at you, then perhaps you need to stop and take a look at what you're saying."
