I have no idea what you guys are smoking. Why don't more people use Win2k? It's what I'm running now, and I have yet to see a single windows game it won't run. How is it any worse for gaming? :P Only game I've seen not run perfect is FF7, which you can fix with a the compatibility tool (free MS download). I'd especially like to see some numbers backing up the statement that XP is faster. Win2k doesn't take up craploads of processing power with the pretty GUI stuff that XP does. |

/Resubscribes That if you don't use the classic interfaceas I do, however I found that disabling menu shadows and windows animations, I can use the XP gui as fast as win 2k The only thing that annoys me about XP is that mocosoft didn't include compatibility to create more visual styles, but you can download style XP, or even better the patched uxtheme.dll , and done. I like XP more cause of compatibility stuff, using the link properties I can use any NT / 9x program and such. |

I use WinME but I would go for Win98. It allows more people to be able to use the proggy that you will be creating. |
