Crazy stuff Korgath! The BM Barb is dead on! The Necro is my second fave, very close to the concept. The rest don't seem to be fitting as well as ones you skinned using heroes tho, especially the amazon which still looks a bit awkward. But this is great stuff, and I when you get to the paladin, plz don't include those abhorrently evil green pants! :D |

Guest | Tri: LOL! :D Green pants.. ;) Im gonna go for a knight in shining armor, I think... Very polished.. :p For the models: I've only laid an effort on the Barbarian and Necro, skinwise... Still alot to do on the others... (Oh, the amazon should be thinner, I know..) |

Humm... Sorry, but I just don't like that Necro. Mainly because of the skin (sorry korg!) But the Necro basic attire (which I'm pretty sure is what Korg's going for) is a Black vest, that donsen't hang all the way down to his waist, its more like 3/4ths his torso long, is more open in the front and had a fur lined collar. It's really only the upper body that needs work really. I dunno I guess I could try my hand at making an armor Necro skin so I don't get instaflamed for not liking the skin with blind unquestioning fan-boyism. Strive for perfection and you achive comfterble mediocrity! Start out thinking you suck to begin with and work on your flaws and you achieve greatness! Live the gosple baby. |

Guest | EinWolf: I thank you for that "pointing out". ;) Of course, I posted this thread to get comments, critique.. I changed the barbarian from grunt to BM, right? Well, about the necro.. *looks at image* ok, Ill re-do the skin, HOWEVER, due to model restrictions, I can't add a vest or fur-coat, its gotta be done skinning.. Ill look at blizzys images of the necro, reskin and repost ;). Keep the comments flowing! |

Cans of Coke eh? I like the cut of his jib and would like to subscribe to his newsletter assuming he has one. =P Anyway it's doable Korg, I mean it doesn't have to stand out, just has to have the allusion of doing so, which isn't hard to do. I'm going to have to do exactly that anyway for my character. He has the same kind of vest, I can skin it, but it will look like crap 'cause I can't do textures (which is exactly why I don't skin much) But really armored arthas would be perfect for the armored necro, just ahrin the shoulderpads and skin them as skulls. That would be the only major difference, the rest is just normal skinning. |

Guest | Sharky: Me releasing the skins/models to the public... Cookie: :D Cans of coke?! K, Ill beef em down abit.. Einwolf: I didn't say it was impossible... Its just that it takes alot of time to alter the model (yeah, I know you wrote allusion, but I wanna make it for real.. ok, wc3 aint real, but.. bah! ;)) and I thought I could do with the current one... However, Im going in to beef down and stuff, so Ill add a the fur and define the vest better + edit skin... If you like it better then, you could have the skin.. ;) |

oh i c... yeah its kinda too bad :p ... but well... **** it.. :D well korgath... is the skins easy to put on a map?... its like just replacing skins or what? |

He is modifying both skin and model so that it will be about 250 kb added to your map per unit. My suggestion is use the 7 units that he defines as heroes (I'm only using the original d2 5). And tell the person if he wants to see the models he must download the model pack and use the local file trick to view them. Um I really think using The Bandit Spear Thrower is a dumb idea. Almost any unit (perferably female) will be beter :/ I sort of agree with Cookie I think Arthas in General seems to have gapping distances (especially if you remove his book), Between his torso and his arms. The BM looks dead on, how did you add skin under the beard? |

Guest | Wasn't there supposed to be a standard, additional mpq? Like, released by wc3campaigns.com for all modders.. *Korgath wonders if he could get his models/skins into such a mpq, or if they suck doneyballs..* ;) |

Guest | Pm...cookie, I would guess, about it. Or maybe skull |
| 08-28-2002, 03:11 PM | #58 |
Guest | Hmm.. Is it possible to create your own mpq *runs away, to test* BTW, no new screenies as of now, but I started the paladin model + skin + sorc model. Just alot of portraits left, the assassin, skin tweaking, model tweaking and testing... ' Maybe 85% done.. Calculated using my 'brain', intoxicated by booze, coffee and red bull. :D |
