May just be easier to make the worker unit do it... can't see what a problem with that is

not really a big problem, but it would be nice to keep it as close to the original as possible, and in the original, the walls were built by the main structure.

I know... I've finished the original and been one of the few that played multiplayer war I. Ive never had a game where i didn't use walls to hide archers behind

I just tried to replay the human campaign...it's really a shock going back the the Warcraft I gameplay after Warcraft III and Starcraft.

I know, the old WarCraft controls really suck, I'm considering peasants/peons building wall, but it is not my main concern at the moment. At this moment I'm remodelling the Headhunter, I a;ready shaved him bold, looks pretty good, and now I'm working on his tusks and nose. Maybe I will give him a helmet or something, but I'm not sure yet, he looks pretty silly with his bold head. After that I'm starting with the Archer, probably gonna change one of the elfs models, after that I'll look into walls, I do think however that the peasants and peons will be used for it.
Don't play the original game, be patient and I'll give you a great remake with new music! :ggani:

ooooo new music!

And is the archer going to be a crossbowman or are you just going to go the easy route?

yeah, you should probably give the spearman a helmet, I laugh just picturing a hairless headhunter. oh, btw, it's spelled bald.

Just going the easy route whip_boy, if I would change make a crossbow man, I have to alter the animation and I really have no idead how to do this.

Thanks for the spelling correction wolfsoul, I know bold is almost like brave, it was a slip of the fingers crossing my entire keyboard

Yeah, it would be a pretty big change. Too bad, I liked the crossbowmen.

If you need some help with mapping, maybe I could help out. I really like WarCraft 1 and I've got a copy of it...

somewhere...

Anyway, as I said, i could do some mapping. I'm pretty good with triggers, and what I dont know I can find out here at the board. However i don't know shit about modeling.

Sorry, haven't been posting anything on this site for a while now, because I'm busy with my traineeship.
If anybody would like to help (yes we need a lot of help, there are only two of us) contact me at [email protected]
the site is http://www.aesirguild.org
Unfortunately as I already said, my time is very short at the moment. I will bring up a list of things to do on my site very soon, this year for sure! The project is working out better than I thought. The original game will get completely changed, the start screen will change, what the hell I will create that next week :ggani:
There are however still some things that have to be created, like spells that just aren't working like I want them to. I still have a problem with creating a nice looking Necrolyte and Warlock.
If it is possible in any way I want to create a Stables, Tower, Sacrificial Altar, Warlock Tower, Archer or Crossbowman and that is about it, especially modelling of new units/buildings seems to be impossible. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. My traineeship ends at January 31, so after that I'll get back to the MOD.
