I am pulling out of this contest for fear that I would win and then not be able to enter another contest. And because, its a tree and I really dont care about points anyways. |

Are you coming back for the other seasons? (you are way better at skinning than at concept art) |

I know this probably doesn't belong here, but it fits kinda. Why are people limited to the number of contests they can enter? Thats like saying, okay, you got an A in math, but next year you can't take it so that we can make it easier and let other people get A's. Why can't people enter whatever they want? If they are good, why can't they win? This kinda limits, also, the amount of good work put out into the community. Oh well, just my two cents. BTW, nice excuse.... I don't want to enter cause I will win. If you don't care about points then what does it matter. You can still submit your work to other contests even if you can't win them. Bah, I don't want to win by default. Thats just lame. |

Having done only one other non-humanoid skin (the CryptLord), I thought it'd be fun to give this one a go. Unfortunately, it wasn't as fun and enlightening as I'd hoped (no offense to the modeller, it's just my personal taste), so I'm not completely pleased with the outcome. Like everyone else, I tried to stick to the concept art, and also like the previous entries I had my own angle on it. I was going more for the "burning ember" look than bark or magma. Oi. =) Critiques welcome. ![]() |

Yes lord, I'm going to do the next season for the skinning contest. I like the chariot much more than the tree. That's a pretty heafty judgement to make considering I've only posted 2 concept arts ever both done completely on the computer since I haven't ever connected the scanner to this computer but... whatever. |

ahh! He read my mind O_O, thats almost identical to the skin i'm doing, mines just got more detail on the wood. |

Kind of similar to what mine started out as too. :ggani: I too tried to put quite a bit of detail in the wood, but it seemed to muddy it up to much, I also ended up darkening everything up to try to go with the undead look. Nice though, you can tell what it is supposed to be for sure. |

Okay, I apologize, but I will withdraw from the skinning portion of the contest because I've submitted an entry for the final season in the Concept Art area. If I do poorly, I'll be happy to try my hand at skinning some of the models for the later seasons. =) Please feel free to disregard my odd little tree. |

Okay, I have been looking all over the different masters threads, and I can't find where it says people can only have one entry. Would someone please tell me where this is at? I would like to do a concept too, but if I keep my skin in is that pointless? |
