Stuffkikker, how do you know my profile is even correct? How do you know I wasn't just making up data? You don't. Anyways, I felt rather offended when he said that models were the key to success. I wasn't just going to let go through un noticed. (Notice how I actually pick up on the little things like that, unlike hrmm... War3c) Moving on... I apologize for any insults, but you insulted what I like most about Warcraft, you made it sound, non-important. Making Models and Skins the best thing ever. Johnfn, nice neutralism. :P But, hacing, whas a typo, forgive me. X_X |

Why to contaminate this thread with the same beggings that are already everywhere else? Just go and ask for the tinker, damnit! |

Shhh! Stop the flame war and get back on topic. I still doubt Blizzard reads our petitions and thinks about making the goblin tinker. I believe they are laughing right now...... |

Just get along with it, Blizz forums are just for people to think they are there for us.... They are there for allmost NO reason, cause no one pays attencion to them, and it is also same here, allmost no one pays attaction about our replyes cause THEY like it(no offence but 10 moderators vs 800 people....), and are not going to do anything with it, i dunno WHY, but it seems like we cant do anything with it :\ |

Watch the grammer. BTW: I agree 100% with what you said. The blizzard staff is just like the Wc3Campaigns staff. They don't listen to our suggestions. They just laugh at them. It really pisses me off that both websites are a great way to express ourselves and leaders of the website just laugh at us. |

Lets clear some things up: A) This newstopic is closed as it was leaning towards the side of flaming. B) Do you really think the entire wc3cstaff would be laughing at your suggestions? No, some people tend to listen to your suggestions and will incorporate them as soon as possible (usually it requires a directors meeting and what more for larger changes). I have worked my butt off to get things right in the artists forum section so expect some drastical changes there soon. Most changes are suggestions of people of the forum. C) Blizzard staff gets paid for it, which is even worse then us. Their company can easily provide a better support for their users in any kind. Wc3c staff however do not have the royalty of vast monetary resources, so we are bound by certain things to keep the site as best possible running on any situations. Also, we do not have a lounge where we go sit and relax and chitchat what happens in forum A and forum B, there is a communication barrier sometimes that is hard to get through. Of course we have staff forum, but it aint practical and it is slow. An example of the communication problem would be the points and shopping system. The update by Xttocs was totally out of the blue; none of the staffers cept the technical administrators knew of the update. IF we knew WHEN he had planned the update, some staffers would had put a newstopic on the oncoming changes, talked to the technical admins to arrange a deal regarding the points system and whats not.... Small note: The art tools were released most likely by the huge demand of it. Drax, a staffer of this site, started the petition and it was quite renown on the battle.net forums as well. At least its safe to say that his actions DID contribute in a way regarding the release of the art tools. If there was absolutely no voice, noone ever spoke his mind out, we would probably never had the art tools....NEVER underestimate a single voice....it is probably the most foulish thing to believe Again, there ARE staffers who LISTEN to you guys. The only problem is that the site is built upon a hierarchy. Even if some staffers disagree with certain actions, its usually Stonedstoopids final word that determines the course the site will go (regarding the dl section for example). And behind him would be the technical administrators, which are tasked to find the thin red line between capacity/security of the server and bandwidth, and the service that can be provided. Some options that seem cool at first glance would sooner or later prove unmaintainable or not compatible with certain directive course of action (for example, the points system hack was not compatible with the newest VB 3.* version, and rewriting to make it compatible would require ALOT of time ..heck rewriting most of the options on this board required alot of time already, which consumed most of our spare time...Another example was that the point system can be easily abused, and because it was Vb 2.*, it was hard to maintain and recover what actually happened. Think of artificial raising your points and quickly passing them to others before your fake accounts were banned etc. Still hard to deal with proxy and dynamic ip's). There are decisions to be made and some of them are necesary but sour for the visitors. Sometimes some of us make mistakes as well, but what can I say? We are human after all. Just dont think that every staffer does not listen to you guys, because there ARE staffers who DO. ========================================================== This thread is closed as it was stated at the start. Feel free to rant/discuss about this issue somewhere else on this forum, but this is probably my last input regarding this matter: this is how the situation is. I wish to utilise my time to get the necesary updates done , altough this is quite interesting. |
