I know... mine was one of them... in the UD season.

and I'll make a decision if I must... but it will be before this season ends... just before.

Are there any problems anyone is having with the Denizens of the Dark Forest being the next Season? it isn't just gobbos.

And erwt... entries may only be from a single person.

Would you quit bringing that up. The only picture I used as any sort of reference was that "Villain Lineup" of Metzen's, with the the Naga, Jungle Troll, and Blood Elf. For the most part, I merely studied the Myrmidons in the World Editor and went for a sleeker, younger look (coupled with my chosen equipment, of course). Come on, I even defended your entry!

erwtenpeller : It was not "bitching" and I see no relevance with their forum activity and the fact they become popular for showing an online portfolio. For the judging of the MC2, its best if people who enter at least one season dont become judge. The best solution to this becoming a popularity contest is if people who have nothing to do with this section/users become judges to ensure the equality and clairvoyance of the art.

sansui : Theres a reason you have concept art for a skinner, if you want more creative space, paint for the first part of the contest. The point of having a defined skinning goal is that it does not become a free for all with random entries, thus a minimum of textures are needed.

And where did this rule that only one entry can be judged come from? I was under the impression the contest was under new control and more user based rules. Your only reducing the number of entries in limiting the number of judged entries per person.

We should get the off-topic bums up here to judge.

Wait... logically... that should make sense to not limit entries per person...

But then one person has more chances to win than another... but the concept wins... not the person... right?

I've already stated such rules, and I hoped to do the Burning Legion for season two.

jester, to be totally honest, i dont think you are childish enough to survive these forums... you take evrything so personal and serioue and stuff.

one entry to be judged per person... thats enough. always one of your entries is best, and the others are less good, so why bother having those judged?? the artist'll have to pick one to be judged... its just the way it is.

Its just that I can provide 3 on par pieces of art of quality I might add, it can only improve the number of choices and improve the creativity of the members. And the judging took long anyway, whats 6 0r 7 new units to judge, its not like you can judge anyway being someone who enters.

just a thought on the skinners complaining about having to stick to the design, this could be partially overcome by not coloring the drawings, allowing the skinners to play around with coloration and possibly other stuff.

Mind you, that burned ancient WAS pritty boring.

Hey, Jester-of-Death, which entry do you think you'll use for the contest (what with the one-entry-per-part-per-season rule)?

To icbm/Whitehorn, we're still doing the winner-can't-participate-in-another-season, right? If so, how does that work with the top three entries moving on? What if someone who didn't win the Concept stage goes to the next part and watches his idea win the Modeling stage? Is it fair to the winner if he loses the right to participate AND doesn't have anything to show at the end but bragging rights?

On the side note, I think Jester's under the mistaken impression that I am a popular leader of the forum because of my reputation. If that's the case, let me explain; around half my reputation (at least) is the result of some kind of error that occured when Erwtenpeller repped me on the Artist Battle Thread. If you want a real respected forum-goer, look to icbm - I'm sure he earned that rep without the help of a glitch.

I don't know... Whitehorn's rules on that seem to imply that you can.

and there are 22 points that came of the glitch about 3 weeks ago for me, talk to Lord. I know he got his without that.

for the person that bad repped me for my above post with no comment and hiding in the dark, i consider you the lowest form of forum life, hiding in the shadows. At least have the courage to tell somone when you rep them.

eehm... did i miss something? do the top three entries proceed to the next level? hmm... that's kinda cool, more freedom and choice for moddlers and skinners...

let me just see if i get this straight...
a season has a first, second and third place winner.
the first place winner gets the prize and may not participate again in any other season of the stage he won in.
second and third place are still able to participate in next seasons?

same for each stage, same for each season... right??

oh, and i received all my rep just as well, no glitches...
