Adding User Names to Rep Tickets

It seems more and more people are giving free rep now. Though, not all that long ago, I got one from wc3player2, though it seems it is removed now. Maybe there is a mod sticking around here somewhere that doesn't like that people do that :P

I keep my rep gun holstered, as It lets loose 15 bullets. SO unless you really impress me, or piss me off, it stays holstered.

if you want your name on your reputation points....

oh dear. in which case. to all admin checking reps; all my reps do have meaning, its just that often i dont make that meaning clear, or think its obviouse enough as to why i gave the rep that i didnt put a relevent comment and instead burst into a little verse. if you realy want proof of this, just ask me about any rep, and im sure the meaning will coe back to me

Yeah, I think some mod removed my wc3player rep, so he gave me another one. I still have the rep boost from it, though.

Man! My rep rocketed up from this converstation! 26 more reps! Wc3player, how do you have all that rep influence?

Edit:
HOLY COW!
Who knew posting here could get you 38 rep? THanks for the random rep people! :-D

Yeah, I only get rep for arguments and things like that, but never by helping people.

I guess people either forget or are too lazy to do it, while on an argument, people who read them must not be lazy, and so are capable of giving reputation points.

I am not complaining about the rep system. It is neither good nor bad. I'll say I'm pretty much Neutral about it.

Something really weird just happened...

I was somewhere aroun 220 a few days ago... I've only gotten one neg rep since then... and I've lost about 60 or more points of rep...

That's pretty dang weird... Someone must be removing my positive reps... :(

Probably reps have expiration time?

they never told us about that...

and for some reason this really pisses me off...

I don't give a damn about random neg reppers who pick me as their target... but why the F*** would an admin remove upwards of 60 of my rep points? I recieved no PM... I never complained or said that my rep needed looking into.. it's just gone. I just want to know why I lost 60 points of rep when I don't have a page full of red.

Wierd, I seem to have lost some too... Admins, what's up, you remove some slightly-unwarranted positive reputation, but you don't get rid of the definite negative-rep abuse? That's crazy.

reps do not have an expiration time/date. There is a scheduled task that periodically clears all reputation considered as "spam". This could include multiple rep posted by the same person, having the same reason, or in the same thread possibly. I also believe this subtracts points from the people doing it. I'm not sure of the exact value, but it may be tweaked in the future. How the bad reputation points that were determined "unjust" will be handled has not yet been decided, and will go on a case-by-case basis for the time being.

Its a miracle the rep system work fine for me, i say my opinion and i get good rep points instead of negatives one and i only gave good reputations points yet, i would have nothing agaisnt adding user names to rep, anyway when i give one i write my name, i dont get why some ppl have to spam them, i dont like raisinhumide aka:teneur but dude i never gave him a bad rep for anything he did, some kids are just plain idiots to rep sum1 just cause they hate him, i think Reputations Mods would be a good idea and i would be volounter for it

I would second that... Carebear is as fair and kind as people come.

It's just kinda sad that the automated filter decided to take it's wrath out on me.

Funny how the rep cleanser thing didnt remove any red rep as it seems, only green. Come on! I want to second what 3526 said. Seriously.

PS: ICBM, my rep tried to say "I gave lotsa rep around so I could help you get some rep, losing 60 rep is just dumb. -johnfn", obviously it didnt fit.

The people on this forum have inspired me to give lots of rep, I think I gave out about 6 rep in a 15 minute period. This oughta be interesting, as more people give +rep, rep scores will skyrocket, and then what will the admins do?

I've gotten about four reps and have no clue who they came from, and I'd like to be able to talk to the guy who said "Silmarillion rocks!" or whoever said "Great taste in music!" I mean hey, we could be friends if we have common interests.. We want names!
