all ideas of any kind appreciated
But by tomorrow hopefully, there should be a really cool Blood Elf mounted unit for me to show you guys. New model (and to make aaa happy) a skin very close to the spell breaker (but better).

Nice models Archean , definitely some good stuff here. And the idea is also more original than most stuff here (and than my own private campaign ^_^ ). Some unit models remind me of Heart of Storms or Dawn of Chaos models, but those are not their ideas (wcI units...), so ... and your models are really nice.
Concerning this human swordsman on the first page, I've made a version of him with a corpse (the original one found here had no corpse), do you need it ?

Well, the Spearman IS from Dawn of Chaos. It was a gift from John_Drake. Although I promised not to give it to anyone else.
As for the Swordsman, don't worry, I took your version with the corpse. :D
I didn't know it was you though...

P.S: I like your new sig btw... lol

Concerning campaign style : definitely wcIII style, I love coherence, and it's easier to add sequels to such campaigns. Besides, their scenario are often better.

A few screenshots from the re-done map one (the old one f*cked up when I added the custom tiles). Still a major WIP!. Remember that this campaign is an army-based RTS. Therefore, there will be lots of large open areas in the maps to allow troop movement. Not like in Warcraft III where you have small armies and over-powered heroes.

I know, I hardly added any environment doodads in there, yet.

This looks amazing so far! I can't wait for it to actually get out. I wish I could help but I really doubt I'm good enough.

Questions:
1) Is this a mod/campaign or a Total Conversions? It seems to me like Total Conversion from the looks of it. New skins, new models, new tilesets.

2) How far are you currently? Like with the models, playable maps, script... you get the point.

3) That Spearman model's from Realm Design, are you working with them? Or was it just something they gave you when you asked?

4) What will the campaign storyline be? Not the background one which you already posted, but the campaign plot.

5) New heroes, cool. Care to tell us about any of them?

6) Where are the Tauren? Weren't they part of the Horde? :(

7) Anything that will be related to the Burning Legion in there?

8) Who are the actual 'bad guys'? I still can't figure it out. It seems to be the Horde. but according to your story it was the Alliance that attacked first. But the Outlanders don't seem to be all that good either... so?

9) Will there be any of those uber cool Goblins? ^_^

lol, I know i'm asking a lot of questions but I just wanna know.

I suppose this can be considered a Total Conversion. There will be a whole new tileset for Azeroth, I'm also working on a City Ruins tileset, although those custom tilesets are really giving me some trouble.
There will be new skins for nearly all units in the game. I have already acquired all skins needed for the units. Buildings, I haven't started yet. But I did get some new models for them. Plenty of units will be getting new models and some buildings. I have already got a few building models. But not a lot though.
Then the gameplay will be like way different to Warcraft III. As well as some stuff like the Upgrade system. And perhaps the hero system to. Much more troops. So yeah, I think it can be considered a Total Conversion. But, I seriously doubt that my Conversion will be able to rival with any of the other Conversions out there.
Something you must understand is that, even though this is a Total Conversion. It's a lot of 'doing with what we have' attitude. I'm not one of those guys who manages a team of guys who are some of the best in their trades like Realm Design does, or Project Enigma. Most of the stuff I get is from the download section, Request Forum and the Forge.

Not very far at all with the playable maps. Those screenshots above are only the first map. I'm mostly busy with the racial stats and the Artistic feel.
The Azeroth tileset that you see above is temporary. I will improve it as I go, but I'm just using this in the meanwhile since I'm quite satisfied with it even though its really basic. Haven't started on the City Ruins Tileset.
Like I said, I already have almost all unit models, nearly all the skins. I'll need to focus on buildings soon. I've been mostly busy with the racial stats as of late and some of the skins.

I don't work for Realm Design (wish I did though). The Spearman model was given by John_Drake. I asked him by PM and said yes. Simple as that. But I doubt I have the required skills to ever join these guys. I'm just a small modder. I don't belong in the Hall of Greatness... :)

4) What will the campaign storyline be? Not the background one which you already posted, but the campaign plot.

If anybody here as read the novel Magician by Raymond E. Feist, then you'll notice that it is heavily influenced from there.
The Horde has gone back to its old Demonic ways and plans to invade Azeroth since Durotar is becoming low on resources and the Centaurs press them harder and harder everyday. However, when they decide to invade. The Outlanders got there before them through the Dark Portal and have launched an invasion of Azeroth to get their revenge on the Azeroth races. And on top of all that. The King of Azeroth has become mad. There are Human lords plotting to take the crown, the kingdom of Stormwind is on the brink of civil war. And Lordaeron refuses to have anything to do with Azeroth any longer.
Therefore, Azeroth is divided into many different small factions, they are isolated, and to top it all, invaded by both the Horde and the Outlanders are the same time.
But the Horde is also in an uneasy position. Because of the Outlanders, the invasion is being slowed down and rather unsuccessful. Which obviously puts the the Warchief in a bad position since some other Chieftains may attempts to overthrow him.
As for the Outlanders, they invaded Azeroth and were being very successful. But then the Warleader(general) of the Outlanders understands that this war would only destroy her race. So she is torn between loyalty to their king and wisdom for their survival.

I still need names for most of them. I already know what models I'm going to use for most and what their parts of the story is. Although I can't tell you much right now.

6) Where are the Tauren? Weren't they part of the Horde?

The Taurens left when the Orcs were starting to re-become like the Old Horde. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

7) Anything that will be related to the Burning Legion in there?

Yes, but indirectly.

Well, it was the Alliance that started the war again. But the Horde would have started it sooner or later. There will be no actual 'bad guys' you'll see good and bad sides of every race. You should get a few hints by reading the Main Plot I wrote above.

9) Will there be any of those uber cool Goblins?

Probably.
