Quick update on the map, i added some detail to the lake area and the paths and made the clearing more open. I also took some nice shots with an animated sky (not included in the map)

first of all - hi! ^_^
Sorry for my english too, but i hope it will not the language barrier between us.
Since the project Warcraft Adventures: Warcraft:Lord of the Clans was closed i couldn't find myself. All my nature want to complete this game. After the profuct Warcraft III was issued i understood that it is my chance... to bring something great at this world, i mean great Adventure on the warcraft III engine!
All this time i was searching the book to plunge into the life history of Thrall, but i had no chances... At last my friend from America sent me this book as the present to my birthsday. YEAH!!
I have just recived the book at friday and trying to read this. It is a little bit hard, cause English isn't my native language... but i'm trying...
So i can say, that it is greater than i was expected!!!
Now... I'm the lieder of the Russian project Warcraft:Lord of the Clans
The thread on the forum was started on Saturday, and i have not a such team, but i could find some mapmakers\triggermakers\modellers if i need it... there are a lot of people who is working on their own projects, but in their free time i could find a hole and ask to work on me...
Cause the time of the work wasn't enough I have nothing, no maps, no models, no spells etc. But i have some ideas! o_O Maybe it would help to reach our desireble purpose.
I can say that i'm not mapmaker, spellmaker, renderer, triggermaker... But I have great potential and desire to finish my project with or without "my team"... mby with you? :D
I can try to work on the website (also have no expirience) but i think it would be next step after your banner :o) In this case more people could to observe the project... and the last target it is to inform the blizzard about this. We could create the history, guys! :8
I haven't right to apply on the post of project leader here, but it would be great to work by shoulder to a shoulder with you LucaTurilli and your team.
I could be responsible for ideas and make this project the leader of all campaigns ever maded...
So now all depends from you.
I will be in your team as idea maker and the intermediary between you and russian mapmakers or we will be your direct competitors and we will fight nostril in a nostril in this fatal war!

Aren't you a bit too ambitious Frenzy)? They hardly started the project. By saying this: "I could be responsible for ideas and make this project the leader of all campaigns ever maded..." you are in my eyes, highly exargerating and/or are waaaaay too ambitious. Calm down a bit. People that think like that usually never finish anything.

The project leader here has collected a nice and promising team, though I never have read the book I know some information from here and there, and I'll surely be looking forward to this project. Anyway, like he said, he has no real use anymore for other team-members though modelers and animators could always come. (With just my luck I can do pretty much everything except when it comes on models. Modeling, Animation and skinning)

Anyway Frenzy, ideas are fine, but I think those that joined up with this project must have a load of ideas as well. If they read the book (I take it as granted) then for sure they have some ideas about it too.

Anyway, you also said, that 'English isn't your native language.' It hasn't got much to do with it. It isn't my native language either (It's dutch) but I speak and write waaay better english then I do in dutch(My school scores, tell enough :P). (For sure! Though I don't have the slightest bit of courage to talk or write anything in english to my older brother :\:( ) So, if it is your native language or not, it has little to do with it if you're good in it, or bad.

About my ambitious...
well i couldn't be project leader, cause i can't do it as LucaTurilli or someone else.. and i don't want to build a hierarchical ladder... I'm on side of joint work, of work of discussing and so on... All i want to work with you, and you heard me (i mean don't ignore) some ideas, that could attract more people to play this game\campaign
I think this project need to be supported more than anothers, cause it is the part of history of Warcraft... and I found it more exciting than some UMS's etc. or that Raxaar lifehistory (Expansion Orc campaign). And i hope we will find common language between us... and work together! ;)

I think not all men\girls = people who will play our campaign don't know the whole history of Thrall so... I think we need to make a prologue and 2 first Actes and it is not honourly to start from the middle of the story - when Thrall escaped from the Blackmoor's prison.
if I didn't read the book, and didn't knew history of Warcraft, I concepts hadn't, who Who is Thrall? What for Thrall? huh?
So the cammpaign need prologue IMO!
At this point I offer to show trough video how Durotar and his wife Draka was expelled from the clan by Gul'Dan and The Blackhand the Destroyer during the First War. Just in a simple form...just imagine:
Many years ago Burning Legion was leaded by Sargeras searched some ways to intrude into the land of Lordaeron. Demons use the orcs as a key to came to this lands. The tryed to manipulate Ner'Zul, but he was too powerfull, so they take alse the powerfull orc shaman Gul'Dan, he learned at Ner'Zul ... (forget the word, damn! >8( his schoolboy or smth like that)... they manipulate Gul'Dan in their target and gave him the power... Gul'Dan promote Blackhand the destroyer to the leader of OrcClan Blackrock... Durotar - the farther of Thrall, was against the manipulating Gul'Dan and Blackhand by demons, and he had acted open against them, and they had expelled him from clan...
This hisory is from my own words, maybe in some sources of Warcraft histroy you could find more information... i think before making this campaign it would be helpful to know who is who... who is Grom Hellscream, Who is Ogrim Doomhammer, Who is The Blackhand the destroyer, Who is Gul'Dan and Sargeras etc.
Gul'Dan, Blackhand the Destroyer show the way to the exit to Durotar and Draka from the city, and close the gate after them... and then show the cave of Durotar and Draka and say that they base new orc clan "FrostWolf"
So my vision of prologue was here...
now Act1 it would be easy to understand to these people who have read this book, cause to retell act1 i couldn't ... mby later...
so ... act1 - the brief contents:
Durotar and Draka speaking near their cave about the situation, that they are not in clan, that their newborn baby rising here in the cave, not in the city etc. Yes he will be the leader of Frostwolf clan etc. but i need to talk to Ogrim to fight against Darkness... i go alone...
Draka: No i go with you, cause i'm your wife...
Durotar: K, my darling, come with me...
They have founded Ogrim near in the field camp... and Durotar tell the whole story... Ogrim: I'm on your site the great warrior Durotar...i'll be with you in the battle agains Gul'Dan and BlackHand... but this place is dangerous so you need to move with your wife to the save place...Take my grunt he will show you the path...
Durotar: kk, gg no re
At the road they were all killed by assasins... (sons of the Blackhand)
Lt.Blackmoore the owner of the prison camp, where he held orcs after the war... and don't really like orcs... hunt near and has heard some noises... and found dead orcs and the baby, that he called Thrall ("slave")

Hi, i'm not greaty skilled at anything, but i'm like skilled at trigges, ok at treeian, can't skin(more to lack of effort), i made an icon but it's simple and i was just testing it out, but i've read the book, and you kinda took the idea outa my brain,(not really it's a free idea), I would've started this, but i kinda never do anything that i make just for me, but if i could that would be nice, and if i ever work on anything for anyone else, i always work on it(i've donr it before), so excuse the plain flat out way i say this, but, can i help?


-EDIT-: I forgot, I'm better at cinimatics then anything else(i guess), and others i've met they like them alot.

A good free web hoster is freewebs, small but good i belive, free and some good opctions(just my thought)of course depending on what you want you can only have 7 pages, and 7 paragaphs on each page, as well as only some image posting

one more idea i was thinking about
to make just the rpg it is imho boring...
what do you think to mix some types of mods in this one?

mby make something like this... like 1st lvl... when you as Gendalf protect the castle against orcs??? some magic with camera, don't make it like in original war3... some script scenes, boom's, sieges, and it would be great playable!

on this forum i've founded a lot of nice models, that could be useful to this project...
just look at that...with team models they (models i mean) could be changed a little for more realistic...
i'll make good selection...
