How else can you make a tree village :\ :\. I doubt I've seen anything like what I made, World Tree is the best tool to make buildings around it. Cause you can use it at its original size and it be big enough. With any other tree you size it up and it gets all spotty and crappy looking |

The way Wazaa did. He did do a great job on originality. I still think it need to be more alive :( . Guess I'm the only one that sees it that way. -MadBagOfHorses |

First off, thanks for the crits. I always love people's opinion on my work, and always TRY to take it to heart. On the units, I think you are completely wrong. They are sized perfectly to the buildings (would fit in the doorways just right if this was real life) and they are Night Elves. I think the units fit perfect (no one even noticed the Druid of the Talon that's sitting down in that one shot (The one with the warden in it from my first set of screenies). As with the trash, I completely AGREE with you. However, the whole time I was making it I really wanted to do a theme other than Elves. Nothing else really fits in trees though. So I went with the Elves but tried to make it look like they were more human-like, by adding stuff like ladders, latern, and trash. Still not quite sure I should've, but that's how it turned out. In the future I will probably either do it all the way Elves, or all the way not (there will be a tree village in a campaign of mine that is on hold right now). -MadBagOfHorses |

Hm... personally, I don't really like this platform around the tree idea. Aesthetically, it just doesn't look all that great. It's unnatural and ugly. I was hoping to see something more creative than the generic platform. Also, just because I said that the village was "built in, on, and around a forest of giant trees" doesn't mean that you have to have buildings exactly around the tree. Be more creative, like, maybe making a path snaking around the trees and going up to different levels. I dunno, just not the generic platform. |

Also if you think using tables as platform is original, I guess were all guilty of that crime. I only made my Tree Village how I see it. I think we all see things differently. Mine looks different from everyone elses even if you say its original. I don't see how building a shaky path instead of around the world tree could make it less original... That's telling exactly what you want to see. But what I made is what I thought of a tree village. Honestly, I feel like you guys need me, I'm like the target because I say my opinions. I could be wrong... but I thought you usually give constructive critisizm yet for me you give negative respounces. |

I wasnt aware this had come to a proganda war. Wether we need you or not is irrelevent. There will always be someone to take each and everyone of our places in critism. That being said, ill still give crit, otherwize id have nothing to do; It looks good, but still ugly and not much like a tree village. there are some very nice techniques, such as the gold mines. However, i have never seen a tree village so dead, theres very little growing in that place. I do like the feelisg the green fog and wind gives, but my personal perferance would be to see a forest down there, and something with a bit more life, instead of a village standing ontop of a desolate wasteland |

Bur I wasn't talking about just you. I was talking about everyone who made a platform tree village type thing. EDIT And it's not a negative response either, I was just saying that I find platforms dull and ugly. |

Well, here's mine. I didn't spend as much time on it as I did with my waterfall village and it probably shows. Truth is, I didn't really like what I was doing but I tried to be original and I made a Furbolg village centered around a large tree on a hill. I put the Furbolg Huts partly into the hill, sort of like Hobbit homes. It's not bad I guess. :god_help_us: |

Hm.. I've been thinking that maybe if you wanted to path it, you should place your invisible platforms first, and then build on top of that. I dunno, maybe it'd just be easier that way. |
