WT 12: Tree Village

This week's exercise will be to terrain a village built in, on, and around a forest of giant trees.

Before you start saying that this is old, it's unoriginal, it's boring, let me tell you that it is not. So far, I have only seen maybe 3 whole-hearted attempts at making a tree village, and those three are mine, Phoenix_VII's, and I think either Gitlich's or some other guy's on another site (I can't quite remember who). Now it's time to make the tree village idea old, unoriginal, and boring. Let's see what you come up with.

EDIT If I forget some others who made them, sorry.

Well it wasn't a lot of people. I do remember a lot of people saying that they would make it, but then I never saw the actual thing.

EDIT Hi mozared. Damn I type too fucking slow. Beach party hangovers suck.

By the time I had seen your World Tree, I had already done mine, so please don't think I copied you. It is the obvious doodad to use, so we just think alike. Here is my terrain, it took me about an hour to finish up completely.
Here it is:

Nice work BaronVonShnider, but, you really need more tables to fill in those big gaps in between the stairs.

Also, how'd you get it so the archer and footman can stand on ur tree at the same spot?

Do not attempt to recreate.
Do not attempt to immitate.

Well, I liked the spaces in the stairs. I tried it with more, and it looked weird, so I continued with spacing. Either way, it isn't realistic

The Archer and the Footmen are really doodads, built off the Torch doodad, with changed model files. I just raised them onto the stairs where I wanted, and the pathing doesn't apply when you hold shift, so they stack. ;)

I actually prefer unrealistic things to the realistic ones, maybe atleast edge the sides with barrels so you can't tell theres gaps?

I'm sad to here you didn't path your stairs with invisible platforms... shame on you BaronVonShitter.
[edit] You can also change the Z on the tables to like 500

There's some real talent here.

I was wondering if we will beable to do this completely by screenies, or if we will have to sumbit our maps. I am working on a Tree Village for a map that I'm making for someone else, so I can't give out the map. I can however take screenies and post!. Should have some good ones tomorrow. Almost sleepy time here tonight.

Bur, just an opinion here, but I REALLY don't like how you have multiple World Trees on top of eachother in yours (you can see like 16+ roots sticking out of it!)
