I'm finally finished with mine. I spent a long time on the terrain mostly and less on the actual outpost. I decided to try to make a wooden tower since bur has a close to perfection stone one. So here it is... |

I liked Bur's alot, I've never even thought of using that rock type as a wall or structure or anything. It was genious. |

Yeah I don't really know what sort of smaller doodads to use on mountains and things. I tried rocks but it looked awkward. And its hard as hell to get a screenshot of that tower, lol. There's not much else to it really. |

Yoz, just edit the Pathing in the Object Editor to... nothing. Bur, you probably already know it, but that tower, moah! It is the best tower I've ever seen. Lovely innovative use of doodads there, man. It opens whole new perspectives, you know. Silver13ullet, sweet work, and, since you stated you worked most with the terrain and less with the actualy outpost, I'll comment the terrain. Great job, however, I have thoughts. First, what Bur said, something to add some spice to that forest. I've never been a fan of putting rocks and things on the mountains; the raise tool, if properly used, is quite enough for me. Mushrooms in the forest, alas, aren't really... enough... and they look akward with the snow and all =P I would, anyway, put no pathing on the trees (if you have not already done so), and edit maybe the barren tree and some others, and change the texture on them to the snowy tree one. People use that option way too little; it makes the number of different trees huge. And, variating. Remember, to not only use one tool when you make mountains. I see some tops that are quite round, and they would look better if you edged them alittle with a smaller brush. In my opinion. Lastly; sweet river! And good work, despite all I've said! Hmmm... one day, I'll join one of these contests... |
