Does that mean I can have:

slot1spell,slot1spell,slot1spell,slot4spell, and...ect, ect

That is correct. But if you simply edit the <Race>AbilityFunc.txt then you can have whatever abilities you want. Which is better than farting around with Slot numbers trying to get the right combination.

Trying to move some aura to slot 2, i move most of the ones i wanted, but this one doesnt seem to work:

// Vampiric Aura
[AUav]
Art=ReplaceableTextures\PassiveButtons\PASBTNVampiricAura.blp
Buttonpos=1,2
Researchart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNVampiricAura.blp
Researchbuttonpos=1,0
Targetart=Abilities\Spells\Undead\VampiricAura\VampiricAura.mdl
Targetattach=origin

-----Or----

// Unholy Aura
[BUau]
Art=ReplaceableTextures\PassiveButtons\PASBTNUnholyAura.blp
Researchart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNUnholyAura.blp
Buttonpos=1,2
Researchbuttonpos=1,0
Targetart=Abilities\Spells\Undead\UnholyAura\UnholyAura.mdl
Targetattach=origin

As you can clearly see they are slot 2, but the game ingores this. Any suggestions?

Dakan: Mayhaps you have another slot 2 spell? That'd bump the auras to 3. Or, 2 slot 1 spells, which would do the same thing.

I'm not exactly sure what Mullet and Mithrandir are discussing, but if you set all your normal spells to (0, 2) then ultimates to (3, 2) you'll have no problems. The ultimate will stay in the 4th slot over, and the other ones will start in the first slot and bump over to the third. :D

What if you gave it the ability to build things, then make it able to build a bunch of custom buildings with the icons and tooltips and hotkeys (So, therefore, impossible to tell the two apart) of spells. Then when you click on the icon to 'build', it registers this and casts the appropriate spell. It's like an 11-slot spellbook.

I'm going to try that :)

Okay, somebody explain why this isn't working right:

// Wizard - Fire
[AWf1]
Art=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNFire.blp
Buttonpos=0,2
Researchart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNFire.blp
Researchbuttonpos=0,0
Targetart=Doodads\Cinematic\FireRockSmall\FireRockSmall.mdl
Order=fire

// Wizard - Ice
[AWi1]
Art=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNFrost.blp
Buttonpos=1,2
Researchart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNFrost.blp
Researchbuttonpos=1,0
Targetart=Doodads\Cinematic\FireRockSmall\FireRockSmall.mdl
Order=ice

It's 2 spells, Fire and Ice, and for some reason when learning them the buttons don't appear. When you learn the first one, the button appears in the right spot (0,2 for Fire and 1,2 for Ice) but no matter which one you learn first, the second one never appears. Any insight on why this is happening?

[edit] Oh, I figured it out. Both of these spells are based on the Death Coil Spell. When the game tries to add the second one it won't. It's like trying to give a hero the Starfall and Starfall (more powerful) skills at the same time.....

Ehhh... your order, ice & fire... they're not real orders... so...
If this is based off the death coil spell, deathcoil needs to be the order... ..heh

THE MENU THINGY

[0,0] [1,0] [2,0] [3,0]
[0,1] [1,1] [2,1] [3,1]
[0,2] [1,2] [2,2] [3,2]

The slots you'd want are [1,1] and [2,1] methinks.

ive got the same problem like metroid and i know that maps will be "purged" after saving them in the editor but that was none the probe of him and mine. the prob is i have to start a map>>the chances dont work, after i restart(start the map the second time without leaving war3) the chances work. in battlenet its the same the first time i play the map the changes wont work if i play the map again without leaving war3 the changes work

If any1 smart enough could modify the file where the default position of every spell/skill is keept to slot 1 all would probably be solved. First skill/spell you choose to learn would end up at far left. Next would notice that slot 1 is already used and place it self to the right of the left spell/skill.

If any1 manages this I wouldnt mind having a copy of that file sent to me :)

You Need To Disable The Loading Campaign Screen For The Changes To Work

I lost the location of this site, but just now found it by looking at an old editor. My user has been dormant for about a year, simply because of the fact that I somehow manged to not find the web site.emote_sweat
