Drawing Styles

My favorite anime would have to be either Fooly Cooly or.HACK//SIGN.
HS would have to be the best artwork that i've seen in an anime and the story line is excellent. Fooly Cooly is just random. However American anime is yet another example of how they take something good, then turn it to crap.

Such as the anime section in Kill Bill, I'll admitsome scenes were beautifully done, however, it is not the best. But I do not know, was any americans involved in making .HACK//SIGN?

what the hell are you doing on a warcraft art forum if you like realistic?
there is nothing realistic about warcraft artworks. tyhey might sometimes seem this way, but are frar from it. i mean, night elf woman fro example, u can draw them perfectly in shape, muscles in right place, right proportions... etc. BUT what about those HUGE ears and eyebrows? purple skin color? light emitting eyes?

nope.. none oh that. as a matter of fact, becouse of these huge proportional changes,s samwises art for example lies a lot closer to anime then to realistic, not all anime or maga styles have eyes as big as dinnerplates u know?

just a lil point that really buggged me about this poll.. i like just about everything, well, realistic tehe least of everything.... allthough i9 looove drawing my girlfriend naked lol ;)

war 3 is some realistic and some cartoony. Just because the subject is not realistic doesn't mean the style isn't.
You're thinking about life drawings, which does use subjects taken from real life.

and still they are not realistic.... really....

yeah I guess the art in WC3 is kinda cartoony, specially the colors :P

im going to throw my 2 cents in I think that u cant realy classify anime at all becouse good anime is realistic. Um take Fooly Cooly if u havent see this anime u cnat talk **** about anything anime so awsome i going to watch it again right now MUAHAHHA

what are you talking about? You know there are also different styles of anime eg. Pokemon anime sux ***, while Softmax anime rocks. And I guarantee you, how ever good this Fooly Cooly anime is, I've seen better anime art. So yes, I can talk.

edit: just found a wallpaper of FLCL on google. Don't understand how its any different than, say, Evangelion.

well, i agree that you can't classify anime as one thing, (you really can't classify any art as one style, every artist has their own unique style), but... how do you consider flcl realistic? i mean it's cool art and its a great show, but... its definitely cartoony...

I hate how some people say anime have bulky eyes. There are many different anime styles, I hate the kiddy 5 headed drawing, but the six headed sized drawing look very realistic and the eyes are at a fair size. Like Kaneda off Akira, so I like to draw realistic anime, it's always been better for me. Usually, bulky eyed characters are used in kids shows, just like Disney, it isnt anime, but the eyes are large.

So realistic anime is my favorite style to draw. :D
