last week of school and have to get in my assignments so ive gotten little progress done. I can remodel and thats what i'll be doing with most of the units well use. But we are in need of someone who can model from scratch, unwrap and animate aswell. Havent really learnt how to unwrap and animate yet and dont plan to anytime soon. Not because i dont want to, but just because we can make do with remodelling current models. Harlequin, i havent gone crazy with skinning, ill tell you what, ill do only what we need from now on so give me requests and ill do them. Feel free to skin any models that i listed Harlequin. check the previous post for things already skinned though. renugaid |

Ok, after 4 days of data recovery and re-formatting, i have got my PC back up. w00t! Thanx for the replys about the models (Renugaid) and the ideas (Heaven) but i think we need a lot more feedback on the gameplay ideas, as they are our blueprints to how we want the campaign to run. So any more feedback and/or criticism would be appreciated. Heaven i like ur idea for the leveling system, aswell maybe we can give the user alot of levels to work up to so that they dont have to be waiting and gaining experience for ages to level up. This way the time taken to becom a master will be the same, but there will have been alot more level-ups in between which i think will keep the user more interested and not bored (like trying to max level diablo 2). hmm....What can i do? Well i wouldnt mind working on my own map, but id also be interested in editing nething you guys throw on me (models, skins, maps, triggers etc.) im also up for doing a cinematic. I would also really like to trigger your maps for whatever gameplay elements are required, and maybe even some additional surprises. Im sure this will also give me ideas as i go along so ill post those when they fall into my head. So just throw me something to do, and i will see that it gets done. :p -shortyXP |

Well, I'm actuallly waiting to hear if I'm in or not. I told you that I want to join, just that I'll be outa commision from skinning for another week. I'll be back for October and there-on. If it isn't too late, i would really like to join this thing. I am a pretty much extreme tolkien fan, more so the book, but i love the movies too. I am fairly experienced with the WC3 World Editor, (But I'm nowhere as good as ninq) Zepir's world editor and i have done minimal skinning. I don't have 3ds MAX, but i can create still models for use as buildings, bridges, etc. *Just a note: I also can write in Tolkien's Runes and Tengwar* I was sort of following the campaign before the old forums were wiped, and I was really getting into it, but quite put out when everything stopped happening. I don't really have anything to show as a preview of any of my work, but i will try to make something soon Smaug. |

We could use the extra help if we want to finish this before Warcraft IV comes out. :) Please go to our new site and register on our forum: www.ninquenor.com/forum There's very little there at the moment since I just bought the webspace and domain name a few days ago. We should up and running with everything we've got so far shortly. You say you don't have much to show. That doesn't really bother me. Hopefully you can begin helping with one of the existing maps. Your ability to do the runes and script could be put to good use, I'm sure, if for nothing else than the website. Go to the forum and post something in the General forum and we'll take it from there. Thanks, I've started to make a model of a Hobbit hole, don't know what use it'll be, but I'll probably have some pics of it in a few days or so. I'm not sure how to make skins for completely new models in WC3, and how UV co-ordinates or their equivalent work, but I'll give it a shot. Look foward to hearing from you, Smaug. Roger that. Although I don't have a problem with outside leaks, per se. I don't care about map protection. I know what I've made, and that's enough for me. If someone wants to lie and claim ownership of something we make, let 'em. They're only hurting themselves. Remember it's just a game. :) Take care. |
