haha, i guess they will slack off when your going to hit 16 years old and yes i waste money! lol anyway i nearly never buy anything so... Btw i think if i remember you were 14-15 ? right? And shadow... i dont have internet everywhere, so no pic for me, beside that the book cover WAY more stuff then any internet site, stencil are for lazy ppl like me that can draw circles but want them perfect and fast and mannequin are useful to get your skeleton and pose, just get a good one |

do you have a printer? print a few poses and keep em with you also...try to observe everything about the pose, ignore the details just framework, then apply it, after a lot of tries experiment to make your own pose then youll get good at it then start perspective ^^' |

Unfortunatly my printer is broken like i said somewhere (dont remember where), a wire has burnt, anyway the both books i bought contain lots of things like skeleton, muscles, names of every part and lots of stuff you cant find on internet unless you use a pay site (think i saw one)... also my mannequin is in a cool ''going to kick'' pose now all i got to do is apply that pose to a character i will design and just look at the proportion and anatomy of my books to get sumthing good, now i cant complain i dont have references... |

One more piece of advice... forget the characters for a while. Just focus on getting down the basic "manakin frame". After you can draw that in multiple positions then you can move on to character creation... Good things will come if you wait. You can't become a "ripped" guy in one day... same with drawing... you can't just skip to the end. icbm1987 |

or in better/more threatening terms go step by step down the very long spiral staircase, if you dont you might as well fall 80ft thru the center and die Quote:
Edit: a few good terms i like to use when drawing or helping someone dont bite off more than you can chew (dont overload yourself with details that you cant recopy next time - character creation) No one's better than anyone else in art (if you always think everyone's better than you, one day itll come true) |

hmm, i skim through some part, mainly all of them hahahaha well i'm going back to the begging about what you discuss... (bcaus i read all of it) first off all, of course you don't have to be japanese, but he only mention that since what 99% anime are made in the japan, and the rest is like wannabe or cartoons... btw there a big difference bout them. and no offense, but i seen better then that, and quit making excuses saying oh i'm not finish yet.. oh this is all, i only wanna get the shape right, omg if you would said that then we wouldn't see shade at all, and clothing etc... the girl picture that kind like shape... shape meant that it suppose to be alot of sketches... i can't explain it but if i can show it i will.. no scanner thoe. also, anime is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy difference then normal human composure, sure they share alot of thing common like body structure etc... but actually anime is like taller, and skinnier hmmm wait and i will give you a website.. and your eyes isn't close to anime btw: mada mada dane lol... i draw better then you, if only i can show you... also read some thing about drawing and shading before taking on you human composure so then you will atleast know how to sketch... btw it is easy to draw them facing you, the hard part come when they are angle and facing down or up. you are like at the beging of the steps btw: that a great tips on drawing human composure and that drawing life things, also i might made some mistake bcause i'm not a pro http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/ this one give you some good info http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/tutorial/tutorial.html this one is my fav btw: people have different style of drawing... well if you happen to see anime or manga, in shoujo it is more different then action, also some artist draw old style |

Actually 90% of my pieces arent finished... too lazy? i dont know probably and i always come wit new ideas so i just quit bothering with my drawings... anyway they are wrong proportion oe watever so why bothering finishing it, i hate shading since i consider it as boring but well its a part of what its need to be good, and of course you seen better, i seen WAY better, but i seen worse too... i got thoses both sites too but thx anyway, im still a begginer but i guess im slowly making progress.... oh and yea you are courageous to read all lol @ others.. I started my recent piece by drawing the rough skeleton, then mannequin, now i started design the face and thats all for now, im going slowly and trying to not be too lazy, i have the right proportions for once, i even used a rule to see if arms, legs and chest are proportional... the only bad thing for now is that i drawn small so its give me a bad time with the face but i think ill just use a Close Shot of her face too |

yea im 15 (1july...^^) and im working but the money is gonna be used for a big school trip to Italy! so much things i wnt to buy... but even if i had it my parents wunt lemme buy... "Anime et le corps humain" lol boobies god jesus exorcise this for my child's eye! eeesh... anyhow i dunt like the manaquin thing... its not flexible enough... being lazy is finding time to color sumthing for me since drawing is easy and fluid... but i dunt think its worth making a living out of it. :( if you bore urself when you're drawing sumthing its that there's sumthing wrong... a) its time to sleep or u feel like eating b)u stink flies to death >.< c)sum1 is waiting or youd rather do sumthing else d)it sux |

LOL why do i get bored of my pics? i say d) it sux but i like drawing more then anything, well my mannequin is flexible enough but the legs movement are very limited otherwise it would be perfect, its scary too... like if you are about to break it each time you move a part, just like a rusted spring or sumthing (trrrtttttting!) and if i can make a suggestion about your parents tell them its for your future!! or just do like me and dont listen to them and do what you want to.. lol anyway you can tell them you already have sex classes at school no? is there sex classes anymore o_O (hope so, i had since 6th grade) |
| 07-09-2004, 12:22 AM | #72 |

excuses, excuses... if your not going to finish, why start??? if your drawing suck throw it away don't save and said look i just started, what a geek... god.. learn how to accept responsiblity... and if you don't want to toss it away keep it in your pofolio (hmmmm i think that right spelling). to see how well you progress, as compare and contrast ya know. some how i'm not making sense lol hahahahaha... hmm lets see.. if you going to show it, show it good even if it not finish, but hmm okay let me explain it agian lol only show the work your going to finish... because everybody don't wanna see a crappy work then all of sudden you said i'm to lazy blah blah its not finish blah blah... even though i don't mind if you give up on crappy work lol, i will support only people who draw goooooooooddddd... my point is just admitted that you suck, and can't finish it because your artwork is like a piece of dog crap.. in other word UGLY... i'm saying this because i was once like you... making excuses because my art work suck like a big.... just remember everybody start sometime btw your drawing from first post, the style of it look like my drawing when i was in 5-6 grade. now that i mention that heheheheeh they show those thing? like baby coming out lol... that was gross all the girl in my class go ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww... lol i was halve asleep when they show it when i was in 9th grade, then during middle of it i fell asleep lol... but hey i saw it when i was in 7 grade, but wow to belief they show it that early lol |
