well i'm back from my breif holiday so i'll give it a shot, skins add about 70 - 100 kb to a map each, sometimes its less than 60 kb if its a small skin.

Darion, cheers. Sig looks good.

Like I said earlier the third map is pretty much done and I'm already underway on the fourth. Should have it sent by this weekend hopefully.

And thanks for giving it a go pheonixiv. I look forward to the results. The sizes could cause a problem but I'll wait and see.

Dactrius.

Firstly, hello forum members new and old.

I got an e-mail the other day from a warcraft player who had found the original levels of my RPG by chance. He played them again and e-mailed me asking if this campaign was still in production. I had considered continuing the project beforehand, but I wasn't sure. After giving it some thought I have decided to give it a go.

There are some concerns though. The level currently stands at about 850 kb. I know most campaigns get way bigger than this, but I am reluctant to keep releasing each version on this thread. If possible I need someone to host the level somewhere if need be. I may be able to get this done myself, but I'm not sure.

Beta testing was a good idea at the time and I may still do that but I'm favouring public release at each stage really. At the moment I have completed the first three levels and about 30 percent of the fourth. If anyone is interested feel free to download the levels on this thread and tell me what you think of them. They should be at the middle of page 2.

Also I would like to apologise to the original list of players who signed up for the beta test. Ending the work on the campaign was beyond my control and would have continued had I the chance.

Thanks and I will get the newest version of the campaign released a.s.a.p (as long as nothing goes wrong again).

I've taken a few screenshots of the fourth mission. They were a rush job so may not look like the most exciting scenes, but remember this mission is a work in progress.

Also, I can upload the campaign thus far tomorrow minus the fourth level obviously. It will include the first three missions of the campaign, the third of which no-one but me has ever played and it's the biggest yet. It's still in it's beta stage since no-one has tested it yet, but that will probably change soon.

This is a dungeon tileset obviously. For those who haven't played this RPG, the other three maps are sunken ruins, Ashenvale and Lordaeron Summer respectively.

Ok folks this is the latest version of the campaign containing all three of the completed levels. Please note that until the campaign is actually complete all levels are classed as if they are beta. This basically means that they can still change before their completion.

Please forward all comments and/or complaints to this thread. E-mails will be read and replied to if need be but if they are all here it will be easier to reference when fiddling with the levels

Thanks

Dactrius

EDIT: It's now further down the page.

wow, i'm happy to see this campaign is still going, i can probably host you on my tripod site, 20 megs of space, but theres probably somone else who pays for a site that can host you, you could even try asking WC3C to host you.

Yeah I was a little worried for a while myself. Darion (remember him) decided it would be funny to dissappear for a few months leaving me with no net access (since he was the one who uploaded my levels). Well I have my own net connection again so I'll be updating on a regular basis and finally finishing this campaign.

Rightly so as well since I think it deserves to be completed.

Oh and btw, I still haven't found anyone to host this campaign but it isn't really that big at the moment. I'm primarily worried about uploading each version and filling up wc3c's web space with it. :( And thanks for attempting the skins back when this campaign was still young. It was nice to see people supporting it.

Hmmm, as I played your demo when it was two mission I wanted to try it again. But in the custom campaign screen I got the message 0 maps and I can't play the campaign. I downloaded it twice but the same ... perhaps the upload is corrupted!

Could you fix it?

Hmm... Thanks for bringing this to my attention Bolthan. I hadn't downloaded this version of the campaign before (since I already have it), so this slipped past me. I'll get this sorted out asap.

Thanks for attempting to try it out anyway. My apologies, I will see to this right away.

Excuse me? This campaign isn't about a Blademaster. There isn't even a playable blademaster in it. It's an RPG about Night Elven assassins.

Unless you meant something else...
