The Tale of Archon Part 1 Released!

That Rocked!!!!!!! You clearly beet CotN there!!! CotN part 5 and 6 will have to be really good for DK to get back in the game!!!!!!! CotN is going to start to get a lot of competishion because cinamatic only maps are getting a lot more popular!!! I really like your use of skins and how you had that extremly bloody Darius or whatever his name was in the end when he was all wounded and he excaped.

Wow I reviewed it several times, its fantastic *g* eh @Zurg when does CotD come? The pictures looked great and I am really only waiting for the submit of ur cinematic. Boah if DK will finish his cin soon, too, then this will gonna be a hot automn ;)

Hey how did you get that footmanm with a cape model? I wan't one!!! I thought it looked cool and the guy I am talking about is that captain guy who was killed by the blade master when he did that matrix thing.

I may release the first two parts this fall. Act Two is about 60% done now.:D

Yea pretty cool done. The Terrain really rocked and scenes like the Blademaster or the Magebattle were just awesome.
I have to agree, it is at the same level than CotN, but it is just not better - not at all.

- Dialog: I think they are the worst thing in this map. Beside the fact that a highly intelligent mage should be able to do more than "Muahahahaha!!!", you get no feeling for the Characters.
You know nothing bout the druid that dies - beside the fact that he lives outside of the city and nobody knows him. No Unit had any character beside the unfriendly guard.
And Darius who seems to be the hero, well.. the watcher does not really care for him, cause he knows nothing about him, beside that he is the only guy with a horse in the city.

- Camera blackouts: When the druid is riding around on his animal.. every 3 seconds the camera fades slowly out and then you just see him riding again. I got really annoying.

- Details: Like the mounted Darius was riding around stupidly in the battle (door), cause he the others blocked him.. so he just run around and never attacked [random factor...?]
Or the orcs kill the archer and on the next scene, the orcs still try to get inside the town.


I give 4 of 5 Stars and call it: AWESOME!

Some things I noticed:

- When Darius is horseless, he has a blue cape with yellow thingies on it (lol, dunno the right word), and when he is on his horse his cape is purple with golden thingies.
- After the cam switched to Darius' view (1st person) at the beginning of the battle, Darius turns his head 360 degrees. If he's not some sort of uber-human I think that must hurt pretty bad ...
