High Elves don't have a Queen, they have a Phoenix King. The Wood Elves have a Queen instead (Ariel), so they wouldn;t 'love' a tree over their own Queen. ALso, Wood Elves don't hate High Elves, and ye sthey do have allies. They swore blood oaths woth the Brettonians, and if they ever met Sea/High Elves, they wouldn't simply kill them. The only true Elf animosity is between Dark and High Elves. Yes, I would like to do Dark Elves, as there are a lot of models to be used, but some core units are lacking, so I need to become familar with modelling, and I want to get one race done at a time - not selectivly do random units and have nothing of use for the mod. |

Wood elves did ally with the dryads. Just read history in the battle book: 'The People from the wood Wood elves are physically identical to their cousins the high elves... They have relinquished all former ties with Ulthuan and its Phoenix Kings, and have chosen to tread their own path of wisdom and natural lore.' 'During the ancient wars between the elves and dwarfs the dwarfs felled many of the trees of Loren to fuel their mahines and build their engines of war, and, some would say, to spite the elves... Over the years these guardians became permanent forst dwellers and earned the trust and frienship of the treemen and dryads. From that day to this the wood elves have distrusted the dwarfes and cursed their desecration of the forests.' |
