New Post Rating System

You obviously dont understand this system at all trigger-this, it does not take 290 posts to change your name. One point per post is only a TINY amount of points compared to the amount of points you get from views and replies....... Did you ever even bother to read the first post in this thread trigger-this??

stoned, what if you write a tutorial or make a program... is there a way we can get points for doing those?

Yes, if you write a very useful post and it gets stickied I will give you points same with a tutorial. I'm not sure about a program, unless its useful, that means people actually use it, not just you thinking its useful.

I'm actually going to try to get something written up to enable the thread starter to give 5-10 points to the most helpful person in the thread, that is if the thread was pertaining to a question of some sorts.

For now, I think this sucks. You've made the forum into a barter system. People selling skins for points, and models....

If this don't stop, I'm resigning from this board. I don't come here to barter with people for skins, but to find inspiration and help, giving out the same...FREE OF CHARGE!

So please, dump this idea, before more people leave you.

Did you really think your threats of leaving are going to make me remove this? We havn't even had this for a week and already you are threatening to leave?!? Seems a little irrational, I guess i'll see you later.

If someone wants to make skins for points let em... why not?? You don't have to ask for points for skins or give anyone any of your points, a fool and his "points" are easily parted I guess. Look man they are just POINTS, no one is asking you to give any real money.

I simply think it's starting to go far. Now everyones charging points for their works.

Buy a hosted forum for your mod?

Well good for you. I have already posted the reasons of my post, on another thread concerning the new system, all I have to say is this, before there where points, do you know how efficient the requests forum was?It wasnt, at all. Nobody did nothing for anyone, in general of course. Tons of requests, but many people were kinda ignored.
Now its booming, people are asking and people are getting.

ya, but if i requested a skin now, i would lose half of my points... which kind of sux, because they werent easy to get :////

If it ain't broke don't fix it. I think the old system was fine. There really was no need to change to this new point system. I'm on starcraft theme so I don't really know what it looks like (Starcraft rocks btw) but from what I've heard from people I don't think this would be a good idea. I don't post much anymore either, and I think I've only made 4 threads in all my time here.

Well since this is already implemented it would be hard to do, but I think starting points should be at what ur postcount was unless under 100 then 100.

I had 500-600 posts and now to redo it.... I think shoulda left it the same as there was no problem with it. The post count coulda been removed, but only shown in the profile because someone might wanna see thier postcount.
