We've had a couple of little forum changes recently. Firstly you'll notice that your postcount is now gone. Thanks to some sleepy service work by Stoned we now have a new merit points hack installed. As usual you will get points for posting and replying to threads. Points are also rewarded for initiating a thread with a certain number of replies or views. Moderators and Admin can also reward points to people who show particular merit in a thread. If someone makes a particularly good or bad thread, you can add or subtract a point of that person by clicking on the 'rate' button. With your points you will be able to perform certain actions or purchase rewards, which you can see here. However, this is *not* an invite for spam, it's simply for fun. Moderators and Admin will be able to remove points just as easily as they can give them. Note: The following values may get fine tuned, along with the point prices in the store. These values represent the points you earn from other users viewing and repling to the threads you create. 1 Reply = 1 Point 5 Replies = 5 Points 10 Replies = 10 Points 25 Replies = 25 Points 50 Replies = 50 Points 5 Views = 1 Point 20 Views = 5 Points 150 Views = 10 Points 300 Views = 20 Points 1000 Views = 50 Points Everyone is also entitled to rate each other posts by clicking the rate button at the bottem of each post, by agreeing the user gains one point, by disagreeing the user loses one point. ~kharma Also, the official way to represent currency is with a '!'. For example, "I have !500." |

I seriously disagree withthe ability to change another users title. I know that if this is implemented then I may well leave for good. That feature is an invitation for insults/flaming and offensiveness. And, as if to add insult to injury, the target must pay points to rectify the situation. I urge you to remove it! |

I think your alittle confused. You can only change your title.... |

If someone abuses the system in any way they will face extreme consequences. Do you think the rules will be any less with this system? Please don't start denouncing it when it's only been up for ten minutes -- wait at least twenty :P. Stoned is trying to work as fast as he can to get everything running smoothly. ~kharma |

Wow, seems im the confused one, sorry for jumping the gun dude with all numbers in his name :P... Yes so you can change another users title. But it will cost you dearly, I have raised the price to 5000 points. All the prices may get adjusted depnding on how this whole "economy" turns out. |

I really think this will make a lot of people pretty irate. I mean, i had what 600 post count, and i could change my title, my avatar, anything i wanted to do with the profile that just happens to belong to *me*. So now what, i have to go make successful threads and post everywhere just so i can change my avatar? I mean come on, i think the italics and glow is a good idea, but i really think u should leave the title and avatar alone. I also dont think its a realy good idea to allow people to change their username whenever they want. And if they messed up when they first set up the user, and want a different name now, they have to spam up everyones threads just to change their name? And please dont push the "spamming will be punished" stuff because thats not going to stop it. People used to spam to get their post count up. And that was ok because not a lot of people cared about their post count. Now A LOT of people will post as much as they can so they can change their username, title, and avatar. So now what, what if someone wants their username changed and they dont have enough "money". What do u say to them "Im sorry, your going to have to make threads that a lot of people reply in or post a lot of "cool stuff"s in peoples critique threads because we wont do that anymore"? I really think the username glow and stuff is pretty cool, and its a very origianl idea and kinda spices up the site, but please, leave peoples avatar and titles alone. Wow, i almost forgot-- ya that change other users titles, oh ya thats a real great idea, hm... lets see how many flame wars you can start on the site. Oh ya, thats gonna be a big hit with the community.... |

Incredible idea. It's nice to have variety and uniqueness in things... but I don't much care for this. Like I said, variety is nice, but with a fourm... well I prefer a forum to be simple. This is not, after all, a race. I see enough of that with downloads on battle.net. Well, think about the pros and cons a little; I just ask that you come to a well-discussed conclusion. |

Before you had to spam your way to 50 posts to get the custom title ability. You only need 300 points to change your title, which is pretty low, and if its too high I will adjust its "price". Btw check out the first post in this thread, im going to be adding a table which explains the current posting reward system. |

I thought about it a little more. Now I kind of like it. It IS a good way to interact with the site better. Anyway, I'll enjoy any modifications you make to it. Just don't go around and change it every day :ggani: |

They do draco, you still have top15 posters @ http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/m...ers&perpage=15 Post count was only disabled in thread view. Your post count will still rise in profile and top15 posters.... |
