Troll Campaign: Battle for Felwood (temp. name)

Now hold on! I thought we are focusing on the conflict between the Dark Trolls and the Elves! And how the Trolls unite under one banner (Sorta like the Horde) What is this story bit about climate change? I don't know gooky... Could you clarify on some of the stuff you wrote?

Hey, uhhh, did someone mention desert trolls? If so, I'll make a skin from a normal troll. Make it look like it's from the desert. I'll start when you give me the word. So PM me, or reply.

The climate change thing comes in the middle of the story. Ice Trolls can't quite survive in Felwood. Thus the quest for the magic item.

I'm willing to help this project. Im a fairly skilled skinner though i havent had much a chance to skin in awhile, im a retired mapper but i would be willing to go back. I can also think of pretty good ideas sometimes.

Trolls are my favorite race, i even started a campaign a year ago on jungle trolls but i stopped, knowing that i didnt have nearly enough time.

For models, you should go to wc3sear.ch. There's plenty of them and they can be reskinned into any kinda troll you want them to be.

I had an idea like a month ago for a jungle troll unit surfing on a turtle. Flamesforzuljin moddeled it but its bugged. i have to ask oinkerwinkle to fix it, (i havent been active cuz a hurricane hit my house (i live in florida). then ill post it here when its finished if you want it.

Anyways, im planning on attempting the intro cinematic. maybe medmapguy and i could get ideas from each other when they're both finished and one of us could make a final version or something. anyways, i just want to try it for fun.

Aardvark- Yes, you can help. And i know about the troll models at wcsearch. I am a fairly active poster there and just yesterday submitted 2 troll models of my own. Anyways, the skin i need most and have said so several times but never gotten an answer about is a dark troll shadow hunter. Thanks for asking to join, all help is appreciated.

Gooky, so what is this item the trolls are questing for? How long? Will our campaign focus on the Ice Troll's mutation quest, then the Island trolls, then the forest trolls??

The magic item will be....9/10 a tiki mask, 1/10 a magic staff.

Unfinished Troll Campaign Introduction

Take note guys, the intro I posted last time had a trigger that didn't allow the whole intro to play! This one is the fixed intro, along with a preliminary action scene. There is a good deal of spelling errors and elf units visible in this test version which I will correct in my next release.


Hmm... Can you download the TToR mod? I heard we can use the models if we give credit to the modellers... I think RightField is one of them?


Sounds like a plan. I mean wait! A tiki mask..? Erm... Can't you think of something with more... WOW factor? I mean, this artifact will "mutate" the whole Ice troll race allowing them to traverse warmer climates, so we might as well make it something cool! How many missions is this quest? Only Ice trolls are involved?


Desert trolls would be cool! Can you give us a desert spear thrower?

I'm starting to think that Dark trolls should be the main race, while they have "special" units from each tribes. Example, Jungle trolls with special abilities like "Cannibalism" or Voodoo whatchamacallits or something...

Ok, made a skin for you guys, it goes on the normal "Forest Troll" modle. If you decide to use it, give me a little credit in you "credits" area. A little rep if you like it? And if you want more, like a desert priest, then PM me, or reply here.

Looking back on your past posts, you need a Dark Troll Shadow Hunter, hmmmm I'll look through the Dark Troll Skins, and maybe make one for you. And if you want I can edit an icon for Desert Trolls, or maybe Hound Archon (previous post) will make one for you.

Edit: Whoops! Forgot the actual file. Well here it is. Note: The skin is a recolor, and I added markings on chest, and under the eyes.

That was great! Zul'abar Drakzul is supposed to die in the intro right? Maybe have something like, when both brothers are running from the NE general (kotg?) and his army, they cross a bridge and Zul'abar turns around, mohawk questions him. Zul'abar destroys the bridge so Mohawk is in safety and then he fights the NE general. He kills the general, but the (kotg) summons forth with his last breath treants which kill Zul'abar who is trapped under nets. Mohawk Dak'uzul is forced to run away but none of the night elves can follow. The first mission picks up from there. This makes Zul'abar more of a heroic figure. Just a (long) suggestion.

hmm... yeah, i dont really think the tiki mask is that cool. maybe something like the heart of a fire dragon or something. You have to kill the dragon, and dip its heart in a well the trolls position themselves at. Then channeling its energy it makes the ice trolls ok with the climate. that'd be kinda cool.

Okay, I made another skin for your use on the Cmapaign. It's an injured Dark Troll, you can use him for a battle scene, a wounded soldier, and messanger that just ran a gauntlet to deliver his message, whatever you want. Give me som ecredit/rep pionts if you use this, and also look at my Desert Troll I posted a few replies ago. Archon also made a Desert Troll, hopefully you'll like mine better ;) .
The Shadow Hunter Dark troll is also coming along, and if you want, I'll continue making skins for you.
