Well, I think you should be able to counter. Sounds logical. The counter also has a chance of missing just like the dodge also. Don't you think? |

How about this. P1 Attacks P2 P2 Dodges or Blocks Map Sent To Judge P2 Attacks P1 P1 Dodges or Blocks Map Sent to Judge also i'll make an example for normal WCIII soon. |

Yeah the way Pheonix has it was the way I thought it was going to work. But countering would require some thinking, the player could absorb the attack in a stunning display of lights and then launch an attack back at the other player supposedly using the energy he absorbed, and then send it to the judge. Then if the judge decides that the attack was absorbed then the counter would work. Then the other player would have to dodge\block\counter. If, however, the "absorbing" was not good enough in the judges eyes then that person would maybe take damage moreso than if he had blocked or dodged? This would create a more high risk defense. But if it works then there has to be some sort of reward. Maybe heal a few points using some of that energy? I dunno just some random thoughts. I also found my forums I stashed on Lycos webspace so I can make some forums if we need them. In other internet related news go to google and search Weapons of Mass Destruction but click on the button that says "I'm feeling lucky" when the page appears read it instead of clicking back. All I can say is "LOL"!!! |

Well. Im working on a website. Im kinda bussy with a band project. But it will be done before the tournament. as for some more clearety: When I said "custom units" i ment like new modells, skins etc.. mainly because of the file size. Since units that deal 100000 damage is of no use, since your attack shouldnt deal "real" dammage at all (The judge decides) As for dodging: The best way is probably: P1 makes a move. P2 doges it realtime (If he decides to dodge) And the fights will (hopefully) look like this: P1 Attacks P2 decides either to dodge (realtime) or fight after the P1 attack is finished. Judge vertefies moves and deals dammage. Repeat. |

ok, i whipped up this basic guide showing 2 moves, its not as good as the TFT one cause i dont have any of the cool TFT effects and triggers, but its good enough to give a general idea of the gameplay (note: this map would be sent to the judge when furion fired his dodge, the attack would then be added after the dodge was sent to the judge) EDIT Where is the combat list? I wanna know whos against who (in particular me) and if i'm not on it then sign me up, hmm i mite make a complete fight sequence just for fun... |

ehh.. is that hot lava between the islands? that doesnt leave that much room to attack. so will the attacks be mostly ranged? in my arena, we were amphibious chars, so we can jump into the water....so can you jump into lava?? |
| 07-05-2003, 03:53 AM | #100 |
i've changed it, theres rasing platforms hidden under the lava, that rise up at the start of the map, also can we post our attacks before the tournament starts? Cause i just gotta stick FireAarro's hero in and my first attack is done. EDIT Heres the updated Volcanic Arena Theres a few platforms in the lava to the top and bottom that rise up when my attack is performed, they could be used to "jump" to by heros. |

Another Arena! This time its the Diseased Arena, with a small story behind it too :D Once this was a great Mage Tower, when the scourge arrived they discovered that even their vile magics could not destroy the tower, so they sunk the island that it was on, drowning thousands of mages. In their attempts to escape huge amounts of magic from both magical creatures and spells was released into the ocean, mutating those humans and elves who survived into Naga-Like creatures, now the Naga roam halls where great wizards once walked, and all have surfaced to watch the feats of magic as once again, a battle will be fought here. And heres the .w3x NOTE: Some of the leaning towers you see are actually units!! And can be destroyed, for that authentic feel :D |
