Sorry, ive been trying to get this item idea worked out, but its a lot harder that i thought. I still have 1 or two ideas, but i dont think that they'll work. Should we bust out the triggers if all else fails? Anyway, can u send me all of the unit tech tree data, and il finally do the slk files. So pretty much what u have now will be in the demo. But i can still edit it later. Try and include hp, gold cost etc. if possible. Apart from that, il just work on the slk's and animations, and u's can take a break for a while. Once the slk files have been done, and more models complete, il return and get people to finish what needs done. So just post the tech tree, and il reply like sometime between 1-2 weeks. Possible more, depends how busy i am. |

With the triggers, I GUESS. But they should be part of the Melee Initialization process, so that they're on by default for all player-made maps. So far, here's the Coalition's tech tree. By the way, if the damage and HP look funky, take into account their real life counterparts, as well as the damage/armor types, which end up tweaking the actual damage a bit (at percentages as yet undetermined). Wanna start alpha-ing (pre-release) with Coalition vs. Coalition? |

You can make some skins for us...? Sounds good. but right now i dont have much to give u. David is taking the models and changing them, so i cant get u to skin them yet. But il reply about the skins when some models can be skinned. The alpha test...? Yea i can get most of the stuff done soon, but its the models that are the real time consumer. They take so long!!! Anyway il get around to sorting the game out, and maybe release a version for map makers, but it will be missing some models. But it will take a while becuase i have to rewrite most of the strings for the world editor. I dont think il be able to make the item triggers melee ones. How would it work, becuase the trigger would have to start by a unit picking up an item wouldn't it? or is there someother way? |

i have good news..woohoo. Woohoo. Woohoo. Im very excited. Ok, here it is. Ive figured out how to make non melee triggers in maps. By editing some .txt files and blizzard.j we can now make triggers that will be automatically added into melee maps, like the melee triggers in wc3 now. Hope u understand. So now our item idea can work without lots of tedious work for each map, because they will automatically be in every map made. i'm not too sure whether the maps will be recognised as melee or not, but that doesn't matter. With this new technology we can add any trigger in to all maps automatically. So when we have the unit lists and item lists ill make the triggers. Anyway im too lazy to download the model david. Is it any good? It better be. |

yeah i cant help the blurryness u can thank the team at blizzard for limiting their textures to 256x256 so i cant fit the entire texture on 1 square (its way harder) im sorting it out now, the soldier didnt even get a texture as its being removed as are the MGs and the barrel needs modeling work and i need to think make a texture (was a bit pissed off lastnight with blizzard) and the 256x256 thing its gunna make the textureing difficult when its such an easy affair. so dont flame me for the textures in photoshop they look good and dont even start on the lack of polys i the model cos i cant have too many or the war3 engine wont take it. again many thanks to the friendly fullas at blizzard |
