You could have something where the Temple Guardians cant kill heroes, only leave them with 1 hp left. That way guardians wont take any kills.

For the moment I only played the fire-mage.

I got the feeling the chain burning wasnt worth much. If the target was near to a fountain the effect was completely negated and as almost all computers constantly play near fountains. (It was even so that I first thought it didnt do anything and that the skill was broken)
I also thought the missile speed of this spell is maybe a bit slow.

I do have the feeling that once you are high enough level you can spam all spell almost constantly without having to worry about mana.

With this hero it was often very difficult and sometimes impossible to kill the fel orc blademaster.

Dying still makes me lose most of my set-items (dont know if this is intended)

I also noticed 2 typing errors (I think they were errors):
-in the credits: Curruption aura icon (I thought it was meant to be Corruption)
-and the butterfly token states you receive a unit for 3 seconds while its longer than that.

Besides that I wondered how did you make the inner-fire potion, I tried it some time ago myself and I couldnt make it work.

Its a very good map already, I usually dont like hero arena's much but this one I actually enjoyed playing. I like the variety of items.

The inner fire potion? create a caster, order it to cast inner fire on triggering unit, kill the caster after 0 seconds.

Your map really good but the only thing make me uneasy is the regeneration of com so when it low hp and run over to those fountain->it so hard to kill em if you dont have summon.I always kill com then when it revive it got more level than me and chase me again :( .
-When i fought with the archmage and his hp go to yellow then he actually go to front of the gate and invite me go to arena with him->even i have low hp he still stand there and not chase me :(
-Could you make an trigger that allow player with full hp can go to their main spawn to buy and purchase some stuff just like reaper arena
-Er..i wonder could you add on some neutral hero that come and kill every one they see to make the battle more interesting
-If you fix those thing i think your map should go to one of the best arena map :D

all i hafta say is good job man! this is by far the best non-laggy hero arena ever!... tho a few probs, but then again it is beta

if your the chaos blade master (grom, w/e) with the chaos slash, its still a tad easy. I faced off aginst a level 5 tinker and i was level 2, kicked his ass, ran in circles and spammed shockwave and chaos slash till he died, this continued, and i totally raped him once i learned mirror image, i just did all my chaos/shockwave/windwalk at the same time and he died...

nuke the combos of the blademaster, add in a few more creeps, and plz dont make the permanent limit of 4

Edit: ahh yes, my game crashed when i went dueling, fatal error of doom
also... i found a definition of 'vexorian' on urban dictionary...

I replayed the latest version (0.501) a few times and have a couple (ok more than a couple) of things to say.

The fountains are too strong; Reduce the regeneration rate. Its too strong for both coms and players - I once had the Ring of Power (that granted +1000hp) and was unstoppable when i stood by a fountain.

The spells get too weak as the heroes pass level 20. Consider raising the amount of levels.

On the same note some of the summons are too weak like the Eredor (mind my spelling) Warlock's Felhounds. At level 4 they only had 300HP while those darn water elementals had 750. Even tho they have good abilities they die too fast before they can use them and you cant summon multiples of them. Also his ultimate is too weak IMO as those Gargoyles die to fast and dispel costs too much mana to be a autocast.

You dont get enough gold when you kill heroes.

How do you win? I had 3 deaths and was the highest level on a 30 min game and got the failure screen {restart, reduce difficulty, quit campaign}.

Sometimes creeps end up in the teleport pads and drop items there. Then its a pain to get the items as you keep teleporting and there's a com on your tail.

The archer is too weak. I never got the chance to kill any hero outright with her. I had to resort to stealing kills from the coms (I play with 2 coms) and that was super hard as they always hang out at fountains. Her poison arrow spell does too little damage and doesnt last long on heroes.

Spells dont last long on heroes. Here's some I found: Poison Arrow, Sleep, Tornado, cripple. Since this is a hero arena you should put the hero duration the same as norm duration.

Hmnn, thanks a lot for the feedback, but anyways, I have to say if anyone else wants to post feedback of the beta do it on the beta thread, it would help me a lot to keep all the comments in the same place.

     - Fixed a bug with Chaos Image when illusions got affected by hex. (losing inventory)
     - Fixed a typo in Chaos Slash configuration that caused that spell to be
       too powerful since level 3.
     - Fixed how the winning trigger was still thinking the game was about team kills
       instead of Deaths, pretty retarded error from me, isn't it?
     - Fixed a force memory leak in the give gold trigger
     - Fixed a location memory leak in the order rules trigger.
     - Fixed a BoolExpr leak in the ai locate item trigger.
     - Hopefully Fixed a chance to Crash when duels start (didn't happen after testing a lot of times).

     - Fountains can now be turned off if you attack them for a while.
     - The longer time you stay alive, the bigger bounty you get when reviving in addition to
       the habitual kill count based bounty.
     - Teleporting Circle of Powers now have team color supposed to notiffy where they are going to
       teleport you. (White for arena, green for left oasis and blue for right oasis)
     - Tomes of power would only appear at the safe zone of the team with more deaths
     - All Hero Skills now have fixed hotkeys for Z-X-C-V
     - New duel variation where some catapults are ready to use burning oil at random spots of the
       duel arena.
     - Another duel variation, you may win an artifact if you win a duel.

     - The AI will now go creep some times (unless it is the easy ai that only wanders around)
     - The AI will now act smarter at the moment of choosing items.

     - The Ranger got increased attack range, movement speed and agility per level
     - Eredar's Daemons got 100 more mana, and demon fire is now an active shockwave like skill
     - Eredar got less starting strenght and strenght per level
     - Finger of death got increased cooldown.
     - When you have all of the Chaos Images selected, issued orders will be issued to every
       chaos illusion. (so you can order them to cast shockwave against the same point at the
       same time)
     - Chaos Image now has a BladeMaster Form button
     - Chain Burning Damage per second increased

     - Added Necromancer
     - Added BladeMaster
     - Added Mech Warrior
     - Added Druid Of the claw

A nice thing to do is either remove the hero select timer or make it longer. Often half the people in a game become computers because they take their time reading everyone's skills.

I find it is adequate enough. Then again I read fast. But after a while you get to know the spells the people have. However when it is maxed out with all available heroes....

OK, I'm back with more glitches and bugs for version Point 502. (Lord Vexorian probably hates me by now...) My list has grown quite large and will likely keep going as I keep playing...
  • Creeps: Creeps respawn very slowly and are very sparse.
  • Windwalk: This is a CHEAP move. The com always casts it and then runs over to a healing well and fully heals. At high levels this move lasts forever! Also, the com uses windwalk in duels and just sits there. This is pointless and annoying. Windwalk should last only a few seconds when in the dueling arena or by a fountain to ensure there will be no abuse.
  • The Goblin Mechwarrior: He is an agility Hero, but has one of the slowest attack speeds in the arena. Also, he moves very slowly. I belive that he should be a strength Hero as he seems more of a tank then an agile warrior. As he is, the Mechwarrior is very weak because he has no way to take advantage of his primary attribute.
  • Mana Shield: The Goblin Mechwarriors mana shield should be fixed as the unit has very little mana, making this shield rather useless. It either needs to absorb more damage per mana point, the goblin needs to have more mana, or the move should be removed and given to a more intelligence based Hero.
  • Creeps and Coms: Once again, the creeps com still hunts you done relentlessly and the creeps still help it. For example, I walk into the area with the com fighting some creeps; the creeps and the com gang up on me. This has been partially fixed, as it happens less frequently, but please; fix this, as it is one of the most galling things about you're otherwise excellent arena.
  • Tooltips: Now the moves have higher levels, but the tooltips do not reflect this. Whe learning the ability, it only shows level 1-3, excluding four.
  • Wand of Shadow Sight and Map Revealance: You can see the entire map. I assume that this is aintentional, but there is an item, the Wand of Shadowsight, that allows you to see the line of sight of an enemy unit. What is the point of this item if you can see the entire map?
  • Gem of True Seeing: You really need a Gem of True Seeing. There are to many anoying invisibility scheme and this would help significantly reduce the ability spamming.
  • Fountain of Healing: Even though the ability to destroy the fountains helped a lot, the creeps and coms can just sit by a fountain and are almost invulnerable. An example: I have two level 4 water elementals, 2 sea elementals, and my level 11 Archmage constantly bombarding this level 10 Feng Shui panda when it's standing by a fountain of health. The thing would not die! The only way I could kill it was to use my ultimate, which even that took a while. Also, even if you destroy the fountain, the com will just move to another. Only summoners can win here because they can block the escape route and even then it's very difficult. Another example is my Hero and his enemy: My Hero is a higher level, does more damage, attacks faster, and is bombarding the enemy with summons and spells. It still won. Please fix this Lord Vexorian!
  • Summons: Summoners will win. Summons are the thing that allows even the weakest of units to slaughter everything, block routes, absorb damage, and totally destroy everything. Summons need to be balanced because, as I said earlier, they slaughter.
  • Chaos Blademaster: This Hero is way too over powered. He can slaughter most everything really easily.
  • Item Slots: You really should take away the four permenate item limit...
  • Item Shops: If you buy an item from a shop the is permenate, but you already have the maximum number of permenate items, it falls on the ground. It should just not even be bought, so you don't lose all your money.
  • Black Titan: The Black Titan's model does not appear correctly. It has a shadow, but the model isn't there. When it moves a strange trail is left behind it.(This is the Renegade Wizard's. I am unaware of whether the item does this or not.)
  • Deathlord Set: The Deathlord set items do not state that they are part of a set. aka: It lacks the Death Lord Set Item text.
  • Slow: This move is pretty worthless against Heroes because it only lasts ten seconds. The duration should be increased.
  • Critical Error: At different times throughout the game, I get a critical error, turning off the entire program! This has now ruined a total of three games. Unfortunately, I have no clue as to the cause of this error, however, it does need to be fixed.
  • AI: These coms seem to attack your Hero above anything else. The com has a string off creeps chasing it, but it still hunts me without pause. Also, it will completely ignore creeps unless you are in your player area.
  • Ranger: The Ranger needs to be nerfed. Her cold arrows when used in conjunction with her poin arrow create a nearly impossible to escape death trap. She moves so quickly that all but a few can't hope to out run her, and for those few who can, Cold Arrows. You can't get awat because she constantly slows you! And to top that off, she shoots a poison arrow at you and then you die even as ou vainly try to run. Coupled with the AI's tendency to hunt you to your death and ignore any minions and it's... well... it's cheap.
  • Feedback Icon: The icon for feedback on the level 4 felhound is always disabled. The ability works, but the icon looks wierd...

Yes, about the Mech Warrior. His ultimate spell is a bit useless, seeing as it only hits the people you want it to hit about twice. Why not use the cone-shaped one from all your spell maps? That spell would be a lot more effective than the current one.

Also, on a different note, a lot of pubs complain your map is slow paced. I get that feeling sometimes as well, but only if there are no teams. Perhaps you could include something like random arena events to kinda add to the action, like a Stampede or gold is randomly spawned. The main reason it feels slow, however, is because you gain levels incredibly slow. My first time with the Mech Warrior I ended a 30 minute game at level 7. Try increasing the experience gain a bit. Experiment, let others see it, like maybe a few inhouses, and then release again. Best of luck, Vex.

Slow? I never felt that it was particularly slow even though I went 1v1 against a computer. Also, I always reached level 10-15 in a 20 minute game. However, some random world events wouldn't be a bad idea. A bounty might be a good thing to put in. Perhaps something where one Hero has a bounty pn it, so if it dies, the killer gets a large amount of money and the bounty placed on themselves.

-I too got that critical error message that closed war3.
-I only played the beta once with the mech warrior and found some probs with him. The lightning bolt spell has too long a cooldown for the mana cost IMO. Also his ultimate was practically useless except in one occasion (more later). If they all homed in on enemies it would prob increase useage.
-Is there supposed to be random heroes that pop up? In beta 5.02 i fought a Fire Mage and in this time I fought a Blade Master. He made about 5 mirror images and all of them attacked me, completely ignoring the comp right behind them, who ignored them and atacked me. This is when i used the ultimate that was worth it, hitting most of them mirror images.
-I cant seem to get gold w/o dying. I actually let the comp kill me one time in order to get gold so I could buy some stuff. Also if the creeps kill you, you dont get the tome (unless I clicked it w/o knowing).
-Yes, the creeps dont spawn fast enough.
-One time I saw a gold price for one of the moon item set (or was it jade?) indicating that you could sell it.

No bounty, then the comps will be sure to hunt you down.
